I just joined BMG & used it to try out some new music. I haven't gotten them yet, but on the way are:

Phantom Planet - Phantom Planet
KMFDM - WWIII Live (nothing experimental about this, just one of the few KMFDM cds I don't own )
Sonic Youth - Rather Ripped
Autolux - Future Perfect
Jet - Shine On
OK Go - Oh No
Fountains of Wayne - Traffic And Weather

Hopefully there's some good stuff in there.

Autolux = greatness. Not bad other choices either.

The last CD I bought was Spice World back in 1997 I think. It was the first and only CD I ever bought. I would of been seven at the time.

I second that one. Really cool album though I wish she was still part of Daughter Darling. Can't wait for her new one to come out this year.

The Smashing Pumpkins - Zeitgeist. I saw the band at the Fillmore in San Francisco a week or two ago and was so impressed with them that the next day I went out and bought it. Unsuprisingly, it's not that great. Stick with their old stuff.

Bought the most recent Regina Spektor and Silversun Pickups CDs at Lollapalooza over the weekend.

I already owned both of them but it was the only way the bastards at FYE would let me into the meet-n-greets.

You know it's only Billy Corgan and I think the drummer...

Last 2 CDs I picked up were Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga and Interpol - Our Love to Admire. The new Spoon CD is probably my favorite of the year so far.

I was mostly unimpressed by The Silversun Pickups CD...a poor man's Smashing Pumpkins in fact. Though I DO love Lazy Eye. Also, how is the Regina Spektor CD? I've been meaning to get it...but I've never bought a female artist's CD because I have man issues.

?

I was disappointed with Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga or whatever it's called, I thought Gimme Fiction was far better, and I loved the Silversun Pickups album

Interesting
