Is Killzone GH patched?
I know that GH versions on rare occasions have extras, (Silent Hill 2 comes to mind), so I was wondering if Sony is using the GH release as an opp to push out an updated/patched version of the game, making it a more desirable purchase.

Nothing that I know of -- I do not know if they have ever patched the multiplayer or not (or whether it even needs it), as I do not currently own it, and I would like to know if there is any diff between the first disc and the GH disc.
Sometimes developers release patches to balance gameplay or fix bugs -- it does not happen often. I beta test for the PS2, and usuallly the betas are patched via a download. I would like to buy a non-red label just as a personal preference, but if it is patched (for whatever reason), then I will pick up the GH version. |

I doubt it. I bought the non-GH version for the GH price, and I love it. There are techincal issues.. the dynamic level of detail on character models messes up sometimes (you'll sometimes see low detail models at point blank range), the sounds are a little repetitive... but the universe intrigues me and it's really, at its core, a great game that everyone should play.

The fact is, what Killzone tries to do technically is amazing. Sure, it ain't perfect, but they do a damn fine job. The only reason it received so much criticism is that someone at Sony labeled it a Halo killer -- if they had kept their mouths shut and kept it low key until it released, they would have had a much bigger hit on their hands. I second the fact the the series is great, and there's alot of potential for the series... moreso than halo. the PS3 trailers give testament to that as well as the Killzone PSP currently in development.
