My NEC1100A died out on me...now I'm goign to get a new one. Good thing is, my parents will buy it because they7 burn so many dvds...downside is they are anal about it being an external one.

I mean, I've already tried saying that an internal + enclosure will be better than an external even if its just the reason that its not a crap burner on the inside, as there are a few NEC's I saw recently for like 40.

Anyone wanna help me out here? thanks...

Internal solution...SonyStyle has the Sony DRU-720A 16x DVD+/-RW Drive for $50 - $30MIR = $20 + $6 shipping. Taken from SD!

dude i have a sony external id like to sell, includes a full nero too. its a 2.4x DL but 16x dvd (- and +) and like a 48x cd (max ive burned at is 40) and max for a dvd even though is claimed 16x was really at 14x (took like 5 mins)
