Trading etiquette 101
Do not compile of huge list and ask for prices to see if the other person is up to date on the latest game prices. This only causes frusteration to the seller as he usually compiles a big list, only to have the person see that he's up to par and doesn't purchase anything. Another note that he/she is usually smart is that he is on this webpage posting something about video games! Do not justify making a huge list for me to give you prices for by telling me how you bought some 100$+ game from a kid for 40$, and you wanted to "check" and see if I was up to snuff. Do your homework! Check the MSPS's, check Amazon and Ebay auctions to get a price. You should allready have a GENERAL idea of how much you want to spend on a product. You should haggle from this when dealing with another person. If you're still in High School, have respect when dealing with older people. They are not someone you see in the hall ways at school to use all sorts of slang with and lose your temper with if something doesn't go your way. Always ask if the items condition, if they come with the manual, have a broken case and go from there. Always know what you're getting and the condition it will be in when it arrives so you have no suprises. If there are minor defects to the item, adjust the price accordingly. That's all I can think of for now. |

Gotta say, I'm with Brolly on this one. If you're going to post a list of stuff for sale, not adding prices to each item just invites lowball offers. A price conveys a LOT of information and cuts out all the "Well, how much do YOU want?" "I don't know, how much can you pay?" nonsense. So if you're selling, post asking prices. They're not set in stone, and give the buyer a place to start.
Prices: An item is worth what you can get for it. No more, no less. Also consider that other places (Ebay, retail stores) offer services and selection beyond just the game that lets them charge that price. If you want an Ebay price for your game, go to Ebay. If you want a retail price for your game, open a store. fwiw, etc |

What Brolly didn't mention is that he is 16, and acts like it when talking.

It took me a while to realize that this was from over 6 months ago. The thought ot Douchespekk giving trade advice is quite mind boggling. I think if you look at the dictionary under oxymoron, you can probably see "Cloudspekk's trading etiquette 101". And that describes him perfectly - moron.
