Just went to Wheaton and they had a few titles (NFL Street 2, Gauntlet, Half Life 2, Monster Hunter, Burnout Revenge). Most PS2 titles are gone and Xbox seems to be thin. Didn't see any DS games and I didn't check the GBA games.

Hey everyone,
Just saying hi, and you can add another MD CAG. I'm in Rockville right now.

I actually went to the Wheaton, Gaithersburg and Rockville Circuit City for the $8.96 clearance.

Luckily, I live within walking distance of the Rockville one so I've been there a lot (my own purchases plus requests from friends) in the past two weeks (actually I haven't been there at all this week ). I went up to the Wheaton and Gaithersburg once (on the 23rd) and I did really well at the Gaithersburg one. I managed to get stuff like Karaoke Revolution, DDR Ultramix 2 and even Zelda: A link to the past (for a friend).

The Rockville one had nice stuff as well. I didn't get much at the Wheaton one since I found everything I wanted at Rockville and Gaithersburg. Let me just say that the Wheaton one had the weakest selection by far from the three stores when I went on the 23rd. Their DS section was an absolute joke as well.

Sorry, if I bought anything you guys might've been looking for. I never buy any duplicates unless a friend requests something. This is strictly for my own personal collection and gaming.

DC itself is pretty dry for gamestores, and the ones off the Metro are your run-of-the-mill GS or EB. Here's the ones I remember off the Metro:

Pentagon City (as thebob101 mentioned): EB and Best Buy
Ballston (Ballston Common Mall, a few blocks from the stop): EB
Tenleytown-AU: Best Buy and a small used game/CD store next to Dominoes
Wheaton: (Wheaton Plaza, a few blocks from the stop): GS and Circuit City

If you really want to shop for games, head into the Springfield, VA area. Springfield Mall has an EB and GS, along with 2 arcades. A few miles away in Annandale is Starland Games, which sells import/anime titles, and is a nifty store to browse. There's a free mall shuttle from the Franconia/Springfield stop, which will take you to the mall, and if you like taking your life into your own hands, you can cross the highway to Best Buy and another GS. You'd have to drive to get to Starland.

Nope, sorry. :(
I actually had a friend pick up Radiata for me (lives all the way out in California). I didn't see that game at all in any of the CCs I've been. The same goes for the other games listed.

Swung by the Wheaton CC around 10am and I saw the store employees pull out like 3 huge gray tubs fulls of PS2, GBA, and XBOX games for the 4th of July sale. They just had the tubs sitting out while they put them back on the shelves. I looked in the GBA tub and all the items in there were part of the 8.96 sale. I picked up a zelda link to the past, metroid and nightmare b4 xmas. I assume the other two tubs were all 8.96 items also so it may be worth stopping by there since it appears that they were holding back games until the sale started.

Good luck hunting!

regarding the cc sale-Upper marlboro has a good selection of nds/gba and xbox titles. They were pretty much cleared out of everything else. Annapolis has a good deal of the ps2 games left.

I was there around 12:00 pm and there was only one crate in front of the ps2 titles. It was about half full of xbox games. I did manage to finally pick up Fight Night Round 2 for the xbox. I ran into a couple of fellas with lists which is never a good sign (I don't think they were CAGs). Still looking for NFSU-Rivals for the PSP.

I have also been around the CCs in the metro area and most still have some good titles. The really sought-after titles have been gone for a week or so (Halo Triple Pack, Advance Wars, Warriors).

Gun - still has several left
Mario Golf -last one
Final Fantasy I & II - still has one copy left
Sword of Mana - last one

They are all $9 each.
