And hey, the other thing to keep in mind is that I wonder what this means for something like Ebay, e.g., what is stopping kids from buying violent games from the internet? And what about those who sell violent games over the web to minors... how exactly can a store verify age of a child other than to ask they confirm? Kids are smart. They'll figure out ways around this if they really want to buy these games...

Some decent games for $4.99 at Best Buy in Norman, especially for XBox owners. NFS Underground, Medal of Honor Rising Sun, a decent number of other EA games... Seemed to be plenty of the two I mentioned, so no real need to panic. I think they will honor that price for the PS2 versions as well.

Had my GF run up to BB on May with a list since my car was broke and I was stuck at work. Was unable to find anything except Max Payne for $2 and they kept trying to act like it should be $19.99 instead of $1.99. Even the manager was no help on helping her find others so there may or may not be any. I know there aren't any Radiata Stories though :( Has anybody seen an extra somewhere I could snag?

I'm not sure Radiata Stories is even worth playing for that price.

It's not that the game is not worth the price, but your time is better spent playing something else.

well, I usually buy anything that is cheaper than its IGN online review score if it is a genre that really interest me...

I am enjoying Medal of Honor: RS. I don't know if I would have wanted to spend full price on it (graphically, after playing Call of Duty 2 for example, it just seems limited and flat, but hey, that's what you get with a 3 year old war game.. I'm sure if I hadn't played some of the newer stuff, this would be great in its own way), but for $5 it wasn't bad. But I would agree that even at $5, sometimes these games are just best to pick up and use as trade items...

With Radiata, almost any RPG IMOP is usually worth a pickup if on the cheap from my experience with game trading... someone almost always wants RPGs, especially an unopened or excellent condition (i.e., once or twice played) RPG, even if the score is modest... I know on gametz I could easily turn around and sell the game for shipped without even thinking. Smallish profit, to be sure if I wanted to turn around quickly, but say $5 net or so per every game... usually I'll use the profit to justify the puchases of my own copies of the cheap games that I'll keep.

I hit the Norman BB this morning and only found Medal of Honor:RS for ticketed for $1.99. However, there were many signs for it and NFSUnderground for $4.99. They had tons of each.

I'll have to check the Crossroads location tomorrow when I pick up KH2.

Still not worth it imo.

Driving kills the deal.

yeah, I was thinking about buying KHII. Reviews have been pretty shaky on the difficulty side, e.g., far too easy... the Tron, Steamboat Willie, and Pirates OTC levels sound great, though...

OTOH, something tells me this will be GH eventually because I have no doubt it will sell regardless of the reviews (anything square, as well as most things disney), and I would probably be best suited holding onto my money for now, buying SOTC when it goes GH, and then buying KHII a year or two from now when it is GH... I'm also interested in buying a DS anyway, and I'm guessing I may want to trade for/buy a copy of Kingdom Hearts on GBA first before I play KHII since the stories are all linked...

oh well, $1.99 for Medal of Honor:RS isn't too shabby. I guess I'm upset I overpaid for it a few dollars.. heh. Though you are right about gas money nowadays... going from OKC to Norman would probably be about 40 miles round trip which for most cars can be almost 2 gallons...e.g., at current OK gas prices, you are looking at $4-5... that doesn't even count the effort on your part... It really does hardly seem worth most trips unless you were planning on buying several games or knew it was a crazy deal that was going to save you upwards of $15 on something you wanted...

ugh! I was just at Gamestop on Memorial. Decided not to go to Best Buy.

Luckily, the only game I want or have any interest in is Super Mario Strikers. I have gotten all the games I have any interest in.

I have not played it, but I've heard nothing but good things about it.

I jumped on the FSW 10 hammers deal at GS/EB. The manager at the store call all the other GS/EB's and told them to put up signs saying not to accept them sorry FSW fans. (non existent?)

Quail Springs Sam Goody Closing

for those that don't know, the quail sam goody store is closing. wasn't listed on the original closing list from a couple of months ago. games and dvds were only 25% off today which with their prices aren't that great, but they had some hardware 25% off also. saw a gba sp for 59.99, nintendo ds for 97.50 and a ps2 for 112.50

I went by there last weekend, they still had GBA SP, DS, and PS2.

The games selection was weak (as usual), and over priced.

As the end draws near, I'm sure the prices will get better.

I wouldn't mind getting a cheap ps2 slim or a cheap gba sp... though I'm thinking for either they'll have to drop below $50.
