what do u guys think is gonna get game of the year for 2004?? i think its gonan b halo2

Half Life 2, Paper Mario 2, or Metroid Prime 2. I hope they're good.

Nope. Not going to happen.
Not with the strong, strong lineups offered by so many companies this year.
It would be really hard for a console FPS to take game of the year, especially after Doom 3 hits, and if it's finished this year, Half Life 2.

my money is on Metal Gear Solid 3. The trailer blows me away everytime I watch it

Halo 2 will be in the running. This game better live up to the hype and delays or I;m gonna be hella pissed.

First of all this is the pc board so I am assuming we are talking about pc games here.

Secondly whenever D3 and HL2 come out they will win the title hands down. If they get released the same year my bet is on D3 even though I think HL2 will be a better game.

Halo2 isn't going to win crap. Unless halo2 can make monkeys fly out of your butt it will basically be more of the same with different guns and vehicles.

After the lukewarm response to playing doom 3 at e3, i think HL2 has a damn good chance.

I do not get that either. Why tell everyone your GOTY is Halo 2 in the Pc boards. Right now I would give the title to Far Cry or SC:PT (have not played the full game of either but the demo of SC:PT for online was amazing and all I keep hearing is praise about Far Cry). No matter what I think this year is going to have some outstanding games, but when it comes down to it FPS wise I will have to say the man with the CROWBAR stands superior to them all (unless we see NOLF 3 which I doubt) console wise I still stand by the Solid one

not doom 3..prolli outta the billions of pc gamer like..half will b able to play cuz u need a really strong computer for that..

halo 2 wont win anything, considering that only those that reserved the game are guaranteed to get it this year, and I bet not everybody will get it even on the release date even if they preordered it, Im not losing any sleep over halo 2 or if Ill get my preordered copy of it that it reserved like october of last year.

Actualy the requirements arent that high. I remember hearing that the game would even run smoothly with old geforce 2. Just wont run with as good quality and resolution. I dont care tho, i have a great gaming rig.
