I like how they market it toward the drunk japanese businessman with the tie around his head. So that means that drunk JP businessmen can make freinds with drunk american businessmen if they use it? Sweet! Alcohol is the universal language I guess.
Be sure to let us know how many drunk Japanese businessmen you make friends with Cheapy!! They may be on to something big that u.s. advertising is missing out on.

Cheapy in that second ad, is that like a gameshow or something above the guy with his head down?

Do you see a lot of ads with multiple pictures like in instruction books, or is that ad in that style ironically (like it would be were it American)?

I'll get one when you just stick something the size of an ear plug into your ear and all languages translate into something you understand, kind of like on Farscape.

I actually just ordered a copy of Talkman from Play-Asia. I don't know how it works, but as I work on the Las Vegas strip, I encounter a lot of Chinese and Japanese tourists, so it'll help out my poor Japanese and non-existant Mandarin skills. Still, very interesting ads.

I read a little about this. It seems like it would make interviews between Japanese video game directors and American journalists much easier.

Let us know how it works... it's kinda cool that the psp can branch out into yet another function.

I like that they get so shit faced at the end of the first one that they decided that the-necktie-headband is the way they're gonna go, but they decided on it together. Which is important, you don't wanna be the only asshole doing the headband thing with your necktie, or else you become "that guy", as in, "Holy shit, look at THAT GUY"

I thought every Japanese Businessman wears their necktie on their head when they drink.
