Mrs. Cheapy and I took a little bike trip over there yesterday. As you can see in the pictures, its quite pretty. Admission was a cheap ass 150 yen ($1.25).

Do they have a lot of public parks/gardens like that over there?

I wish we had something like that where I live:( I would be over there every day feeding the fish and enjoying the scenery.

I dont want to sound like a queer or nothing, but those gardens kick ass

Aside from that, I prefer summer. Also, I like the Chicagoland forest preserve. I rode my bike through there all the time.

No, I don't really miss NYC. I was there for 10 years and was definitely ready for a change.

They made you pay? That sucks. The place I live near (Dawes Arboretum) is free and you can drive around and look at all the cool stuff. They even have a Japanese style garden. It is free beacause the founder was loaded. I even had school there for 2 weeks learning about nature and various things. Here is there website below for anybody interested.
