Anyone know of any upcoming Lego sales? I have a Target $10 off $50 or more coupon, to bad their website doesn't have anything left that i want.

It expires in 10 days, maybe i'll find those star wars exclusive sets in a store before then.

I would have to assume by the title and placement of this thread it is not a 360 request (granted the logo is used, but thats 2 against 1 on that front)

As for Lego sales, most places have already cleared out of most of the clearance items, your best bet is to wait a few weeks when Target does their after Christmas clearance. best of luck to you. I love Lego sales, we cleaned house at TRU and Walmart last month. If there are any particular sets you are looking for drop me a holler, lets see what we can find ya.

This is just generic help but if ever a Lego Store opens by you (one opened up on LI over a year ago) they tend to have great sales on boxes of Legos (generally specific pieces in certain quantities and the like for generic building purposes). In addition, they tend to have plenty of the rare sets and whatnot in-store, along with an excellent back wall where you can pick and choose what pieces you want, toss them into a container, and pay for whatever objects you actually need. Quite excellent!

I'll see if I can snag any information for you regarding if they have any online components or if they can ship items or whatnot. The prices still tend to be high but they have plenty of items you can't really find anywhere else in B&Ms.

Now, if only they had the older sets, that would make me happy. Some of those old pirate ships and whatnot were both massive and sickeningly fun to build.

That would be sweet indeed. I miss the old sets like Black Falcon Fortress and the older pirates and indian sets.

I miss 'em too. I used to spend countless hours building and building. I've come back to the hobby recently. I had forgotten how much fun I used to have.

It would be nice but i think the closest one to me is about 100 miles away.

Have you seen any ROTS Star Wars on sale yet? Once i a while a store will have a buy one get one free, but i haven't heard of that in a while.

Missed out on the $49.99 MF last week at Target also.

I never got the OTE Sandtrooper patrol or Jabbas palace, i should have grabbed these on sale last year at wal-mart and Kmart, but i was waiting for the clearance price to drop more, it didn't and one day all the sets were gone. I think all these sets are long gone, unless i can find a Kmart no one gos to.

Now i'm just waiting for the ROTS clearance sale at walmart and Target. I don't think half the sets will even make it to clearance. Besides they don't cut the prices like they used to. I remember two years ago i could get the AT-TE for $20-30, and the AT-AT for $25-50, but those days are over.

I live 5 minutes from the Mall of America which has a huge lego store. They have bins of blocks sorted by color and size.

Yup, I have that. Got it for my birthday from evilmax. I'm taking my time building it, to enjoy it. I'm taking progress pics as I go:
This was just Day 1, spent about an hour:

There is an overwhelming amoung of bags, all organized by piece type. Put a lot of the large grey pieces in my 50th anniv. tub.

You can tell I am excited about this set. I've been wanting it since it was released. This set had the most pieces ever until the Death Star II came along, which has 3400 (Destroyer has 3100). Still, the Destroyer is much more impressive at 37 inches long!

Ah Jabba's palace, i got that for 8.00 at Walmart, that was a neat set. I took slave leia and slapped her in my lego extreme beach set with brickster and the gang, she makes a damned fine go go dancer for club lego >.< I grabbed the 49.99 Falcon from Target, they had so many it wasn't funny. So far on clearance I really cleaned up this month with lego Knights Kingdom, and Spiderman and Lego City as well. I cant wait for some RoTS stuff to clear out as well, also look out for some of the earlier potter (from GoF) sets to clear out after January.

Hey Kayden, I live close to the MOA as well. My son (3 yrs old, almost 4) just discovered the joy of Legos. We now spend hours playing with them. Do you happen to know if that Lego store sells wheels and axles seperately? I have been thinking of heading over there but not sure if I want to deal with that mall during the holidays. Might try getting in there Monday A.M. or just wait until mid January when the place will be a bit more sane.

Uh... I couldn't say for sure, but they probably do. They even have a bin full of those little green flaps you use for window shutters. Stop by the mall anytime after work M-Th, its seldom busy then.

Yeah I live like 60 miles away from a Lego Store. It's small, but they have "grab bags" with random pieces. Then they have the great Pick-a-Bricks in the back, and if you want you can buy a tub of them is also great, but like a shitload of money.

The Stores really don't have explusives. Well they do, but you can just buy them online. I went to the Disney Lego Store 5 years ago and spent like all the money I brought.

The Lego Store Online has some new sets out along with some 2006 sets....

I think I got all the new sets up.

We've got a LEGO Imagination Center here in Disney World. This past year they remodeled the inside, and the interior is pretty sparse and dull compared to the awesome LEGO-models-everywhere style it used to have. But now they've got small dioramas between shelves where you can look into a bubble and inside there are intricate scenes. The exterior of the store also has amazing around-the-world scenes in the windows.

When I worked at LEGO headquarters as customer service, we could get any lego set for 50% off. Or if the box was damaged, we would get 75% off. I got a Rebel Blockade runner for 50$ since there was a puncture hole in the box (and may or may not have sold it on ebay shortly after).

That was nothing compared to the tent sale they would have once a year though. There was a series of huge canopies set up in the employee parking lot, and basically everything was 80-90% off... stuff that has been sitting in the warehouse forever... including ancient star wars sets, fort legorado, king leo's castle, etc. Man, I miss that aspect of working there.

One time I was in NYC, and I overheard someone talking about how they were taking a trip to my hometown to visit the LEGO American Headquarters... even when I worked there I would get calls from people asking me what kind of tours we offer or something. Fact is, it's just an office building, and a couple warehouses... sure theres some large LEGO statues, but nothing worth making a pilgrimage for.
