I just got an email today asking me to beta test Omega Strain. Just giving other people out there a heads up. It's limited to 2300 testers so sign up quick! Last time I received a beta test invite for Resident Evil Outbreak, I signed up within an hour of receiving the invite and it said that it reached its limit.

I think you need to be apart of Sony's PS2 Underground Gamer's Advisory Panel.

Sony hates me. I buy the PS2 on launch, the NA on launch and register all my stuff. I got in the first wave of the GAP and I participate in the discussion groups when they invite me. I never recieve beta emails even though I have it in my profile on sony's site. :(

did anyone get the resident evil outbreak beta disc? if so, how long after receiving the beta test invitation did it take for the beta kit arrive? (i'm getting a little too anxious to get my hands on it considering the street date is somtime between march and april).

I think the beta testers received the RE: Outbreak betas a few weeks ago...

For starters, get signed up to the Playstation Underground on Sony's Playstation website. Sony then choses certain underground members to become apart of their "Gamer's Advisory Panel" (my guess is that selection is probably based on website participation so fill out a profile, participate on boards, register games, etc.). Unfortunately, it took quite a while for me to get upgraded from an Underground member to a GAP member. And even as a GAP member, I was only invited to test SOCOM2, Syphon Filter:Omega Strain, and Resident Evil: Outbreak. And of the three, I was only able to join the beta tests of SOCOM and Syphon Filter because Outbreak quickly reached the 3000 tester limit. Hopefully some of you out there have better luck.

the Syphon Filter beta should arrive in the next week, and considering I just got my confirmation yesterday, thats pretty fast.

I wonder if the GAP and BETA selection process isn't completely random. When I registered my NA a few months ago, and signed up for the Underground, I immediately got an invite to join the GAP. I barely missed getting an invite to the Norrath BETA, but I recieved an email telling me to sign up for both RE Outbreak and Syphon Filter, of which I only got into Syphon Filter.
