Depends on the city you live in. I live in Portland, OR so the radiowaves aren't nearly as cluttered up as the bigger cities. The sound quality is decent, I wouldn't expect car-shaking, neighborhood waking up, kind of quality. Also try to get a car charger to go along with it. I have the original Griffin iTrip and recommend it.

Just get a 3.5mm to RCA cable and plug it into your car stereo's input in the back.

Go to your local Circuit City or Best Buy and tell them how you can connect your iPod DIRECTLY to your stereo... there are adapters available so you can get a direct connection and not use a FM transmitter.
FM transmitters suck tranny cock. Direct connection is the only way to go. |

Agreed. I tried three FM transmitters and none of them were any good. Belkin (terrible) Monster (although this one was the best, you can get a new stereo for $40 more) ExtremeMac (really slick looking, but a contant hum can be heard and the frequencies are lacking) |

Yeah definately do not get a FM transmitter....
I posted this before but it will link up and connect perfectly, almost sound like a CD... but then a small problem happens... you drive. 10 feet everyhting turns to crap. I used it on a 8 hour drive, I was so close to throwing the little thing out the window... What I did find out while driving, is if you put your fingers ontop of the unit itself it cuts out all the background sound. So yes, i drove for 5 of the hours with my fingers ontop of the device. I was hoping apple would put out a blue tooth adapter with wireless headset.... but nope we get another Idock thing. Good luck, direct connection is the best... if you drive alot definately go that route.

I bought the Griffin FM transmitter and it works pretty well. It just depends on what you want. If you get an AC adapter I get better reception. It also depends on what city you live in, and for me it works better in different cars than others. Hope that helps.
