Has anyone seen a deal on an import 360 from Japan? Lik-Sang and Play-Asia have them for $450 each plus $75 shipping, not exactly a deal. The system's MSRP ($350) plus actual shipping costs ($50-$60) could be quite reasonable. You don't get anything extra or different with the Japanese version, except the FFXI beta, and some Japanese text on the remote. Plus, you have to deal with regional lockout, at least until the modding scene works out a way to change the region on your 360. Most US games are region free right now, but who knows how long that'll last. You can set the dashboard for English, however.

Is there any way to get them for anywhere near the MSRP? I might be better off just waiting for one, but I've had the worst luck with finding them without a rediculous bundle that includes a plasma TV.

well there are games that wont work like PGR3, and if there is a modchip it will cost at least $50 to put it in.

ncsx.com has em for $459+$15 ups ground(depending on location).

site is highly recommended btw. I've shopped there a LOT in the past and never had any problems at all.

Thats certainly a better deal... Still not great, and more games don't work than I thought.

Unless theres a way to change your region in the next couple days, I think I'll just wait.
