http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...;CusaNe=200416 COMPUSA has much better deals on games for the MAc. I highly suggest Unreal 2K4 and Wolfenstein as pretty good FPS.

Yes it is Tux, but I use windows systems. I personally can't stand macs. I hate the layout and interface. I hate the programs, and I loathe the mouse. Games are a big factor too. But I just dislike macs in general.

haha..the mouse? or you for serious? i have a logitec mx700...i hate mac mice too...a mouse isnt something to "not like macs" for...umm you should like the interface if you like linux seeing as it runs off of a linux based interface...atleast osX does...How do you hate the programs? what kind of bullshit is that? like what? word? aim? quicktime? itunes? IE?...almost every program is the same...Except its more user friendly on macs...if you sat down and got used to a mac you would NEVER go back to windows...its like Opera...I tried it for a week and now I despise Safari

I do use ing macs. I use those pieces of shit in school every ing day. I hate those damned systems. And if you actually read my post, you would see that I don't use linux. I use windows. User friendly my ass. I can't make heads or tails of it. Yet I'm at home in windows, everything is at my finger tips.

You brought this out of me.

Let's not forget WarCraft III is Mac-compatible.

I used Macs religiously for 17 years. Then I started working at an ISP, using Windows all day, and realized that it is so much better. First off, Macs are slow. Don't argue with me there. They're slow. Gigaflops be damned, I want my six billion GHz PC. Second, everyone is right. There are very little games on the Mac that are actually worth playing. The Marathon trilogy is fan-ing-tastic. Myth is great. All the Blizzard games are out on the mac. Woo for them. But lets not forget:

Half-life
Half-life 2
Battlefield 1942 (which is actually being ported by Aspyr)
Final Fantasy XI
Morrowind
Deus Ex

and a shit ton more.

And the fact that you can barely upgrade a Mac unless you throw down five ing thousand dollars is complete bullshit. iMacs are stupid. They're only good for classrooms and computer illiterate homes. The only good thing IMO that Apple has going for itself is the iPod/iTunes.

Battlefield and Deus Ex both are on Mac and im not sure about half life...I have a dual 2ghz G5 and I could kick your dual 3.8 ghz PC anyday...OLD macs are slow...I dont know how old the macs you used were but recent macs are just as fast or faster than any PC...

Jesus, people. Allot of gaming trends were set on the Mac. Remember back when Bungie was teh coolest gig on the block with Myth and Marathon? Those were 2 of the best games ever. If you go back a little farther than you can experience the wonders of BOLO!!!

http://www.lgm.com/bolo/

It is arguably the greatest game ever.

Oh another kick ass game for the Mac would be EV override or EV nova. Both groundbreaking games. Damn that Cap. Hector. Oh well, good luck with the games.

Bolo? What the , are you on crack? That game is terrible. Just because it got like sixteen people online in the same game, it's supposed to be great? Give me a ing break.

And as far as the speed of Macs go.. they're still slow. It's not their firepower, its the system software and how it runs. It's just slow. I've used everything, buddy. EVERYTHING. I shit you not. 128k, 512k, SE, Plus, Classic, Classic II, Classic Color, LC, LC II, LC III, II, IIsi, Quadra, Performa, Power Mac, G3, G4, G5, iMac, iBook (love the old design, new design just sucks). Speed went downhill since Mac OS 8. Since then it's just been too damn slow for me to use and not go absolutely insane. The system is bulky, the GUI is builky. Give me WinXP any day (with the frickin' XP gui turned OFF of course)

But EV is great. Maybe I should remind people that everything you've mentioned is freeware or shareware, save for Marathon (which, like I said, ing pwns j00)

I’m going to have to go to bat for BOLO. It is classic. It was one of the first LAN games out there. It was the shit back in the day and still is. I remember having massive BOLO torments at my gifted school (for people who have tested over a cretin "norm" IQ just in case you were wondering) with like 25 computers all at it. I was great to have something like 3 or 4 humans and 20 "brain bots" in a free for all. I don't know how you can knock a game as classic as BOLO. Its like saying the original Battlezone game sucked and still sucks and the only thing it had going for it was the wire frame 3d. Anyway, I'm just defending myself and you are entitled to your own opinion even if I disagree.

You feel the need to brag huh? You must be pretty insecure, dm. Allow me to psychoanalyse you. (sorry everyone...inside thing).

And you had "torments" playing the game? Damn, it must be a pretty horrible game to describe playing it as torment. But seeing as you claim to like it, I suppose that you're just a big freaky masochist. And with spelling like yours (which becomes more like leet by the day), I think that you were placed in alt-ed programs by mistake.
