This search bar is a powerful tool for navigating CAG. You can use it to find the lowest prices on games, trade-in values, search members, forum and blog topics, and much more.
After searching for a game title, click the
icon to pop-up a window with pricing information.
After typing in what you are looking for, you can filter your results by clicking on one of the tabs that pops up from the top of the search bar.
Looking for a game on a specific platform? Type in the platform name with the title!
Example: guitar hero 360
You don't need to click a pop-up tab to filter results. Just type what you are looking for right into the search bar.
Example: gears of war prices
Example: ninjatown review

Personalities of CAG members
1) generally nice people, or 2) angry, bitter people with a chip on their shoulder (for whatever reason)? I vote for number 2......although I've personally taken limited criticism (maybe one or two instances....whatever), I've found that in general, people on this site like to get mad over everything. I wonder why that is? Do CAGers get beat up a lot in gym class? Who knows? This should be interesting.

I agree that people seem to take offense a bit too easily on these threads. I'd suggest changing the choices for the poll, however. Calling yourself a jerk isn't an attractive option, nor is facetiously calling other people dumb. Suggestions:
1.) I am generally willing to give people the benefit of the doubt that their posts are in good humor. 2.) I find that a lot of people are in fact quick to insult others and thus interpret many posts here as mean-spirited or juvenile. 3.) My blood may rise quickly in some threads, but I usually cool down if I think I misinterpreted a post. 4.) I have a sense that some specific CAGers are irritating people and its only their posts that I respond to negatively, if they mouth off.

You know what i hate?!?! People who start stupid polls!!! Go back to your hole, fanboy!!
Actually, i'm just kidding. he he. um, yeah... I think there are a handful of people here who like to do their best to ruin CAG for all of us, but most of us are just here to enjoy some good old fashioned discussion! I got lightly flamed recently because i started a poll called "Is buying an XBox worth alienating my wife?" I really should have said, "If you wanted a new game system and your husband/wife didn't want you to get it, would you anyway?" But, people jumped all over me accusing me of being an asshole, and of being insensitive to my wife, and of having "serious issues." All i was trying to do was spark a little discussion about how we handle significant others when they don't understand our interest in gaming, and instead what i got was marriage advice. So, i think we have 5 main categories of posters here: 1. the always-here, always-helpful, CAG grandaddies who have been here from the start and are pretty cool. 2. the always-here, usually-rude, CAG know-it-alls who will jump all over you and start a flame war if you misspell an FFVII character name. 3. the average nice person, looking for deals, a sense of community, etc., who doesn't post unless they have a question or something constructive/funny to add. 4. the i'm-the-funniest-guy-in-the-world poster who thinks that it's their job to bestow upon us their (sometimes frighteningly) unfunny remarks such as, "I've got a hard weiner in my fridge, who wants it?" 5. the beefsnorkling assmonkeys who have around 25 posts, all of which were comments like, "that's gay," and "your a $$$," and "teh sucz," and "your a stupid virgine." These people contribute virtually nothing. And i also think there should be a rule that you must know the difference between "your" and "you're" if you're going to post your comments here. <<that's just wishful thinking... |

I think alot of your perception will be colored by the amount and variety of threads you read. My postings run the entire gamut from serious flamewars to light hearted television theme song parodies. Of course, if you didn't read the board that often, you'd probably see one or the other, and your entire opinion would be colored by that.
I mean, if you only read a couple of threads like the Cloudspeekk trade fiasco or the recent "scam an/or exploit" threads, you'd think that.. of course, if you read the "off topic thread on off topic topics" you'd think the exact opposite. |
