I went to the Game Crazy in Fenton, MI yesterday because of the deals listed in the main forum and I didn't find anything on sale there. Is it just that store or is it me that has the problem?

Next time have them scan the item and don't rely on the prices that are posted on the wall.

can someone answer this? did i just get scammed? the clerk at GC said i couldn't get the discounts on the Atlus games unless i bought the membership card. he said normally they were $50 a piece, but with the card, they were $20. i asked why the card would affect new games, and he said it was strictly an Atlus sale. i was thinking BS the whole fuking time, but went ahead and bought the membership card anyway just to get out of there. i figure i'll sell a copy of SMT: Nocturne to make up for it.

Definite BS. You should definitely not have had to pick up the MVP Card to get the discounted prices. It was just a shady move that clerk used to sell you the card. Go back to that store talk to the manager and try to get a refund. If the manager doesn't give it to you, ask to speak with the DM. If they don't let you speak with the DM, then call corporate on them! The number should be posted somewhere in the store, but I believe it is something like 1-800-Speak2us or speaktous.

edit... 1-8-SPEAK-TO-US... I think that may be the one!

You probably did get scammed. From my knowledge (if you are talking about the MVP card), I know that selling MVP cards @ Gamecrazy (as well as reservations for games) are imperative for an employee to keep their job (maybe because most Gamecrazy's aren't that big). The sales associate should not have forced you to purchase an MVP card, especially when the MVP card is used mostly for USED products. I'm not sure, maybe the manager made it that way, but I just don't see any reason why you would need to purchase one. I visited 4 Gamecrazy's yesterday and not once did the sales associate ask me to purchase an MVP card. But then again, if you like buying used games, you'll eventually make your money back. In the end, you did not need to purchase one.
