While posted in the weekly ad thread, I'll disagree about closing threads linking to online deals. Not everybody has a CC near their home (especially rural gamers) and links to online deals are how they get their cheapass game on. Plus, having games shipped is more convenient for those with busy lifestyles. Not to mention the comission good for the site.

Great game but stupid AI for the xbox version. They are comming out with an updated version in march for the xbox and xbox 360. The xbox version will have just more things added on but the xbox 360 version is supposed to be alot longer, better graphics and alot better AI.
I advise people not to buy this. Instead wait for the xbox expansion release in 2 months and if you have a 360, get that version instead.

Exactly. This is basically the shit version that's being replaced a mere 6 months or so after its release. That's a little sad.

Does anyone have a link to this "updated" version that is supposed to come out?

jrhawk42 granted you did inform us of free shipping w/ purchase of $25, but we would have seen that when we went to CC.com anyways. I'm pretty sure being a Veteran here that you are aware of a few CAG's (The Succesful Dropout) hooking us up with a list of upcoming deals at major retailers around 5 days in advance.

This game is without a doubt worth $14.99, regardless if a $60 graphical update is coming out for the 360 in two months (but, don't hold your breath on that release date). The single player campaign is loads of fun, and it is a blast to play on live. Buy this, and then wait for a drop on the 360 version, you WILL NOT regret it.

I don't see a problem with posting a really good deal from the weekly ads outside of the weekly ad thread, not everyone looks at the weekly ad threads.

Also, the map editor is worth $14.99 on its own.

The version coming to X360 will be the full 2004 PC port with no "instinct" story plus upgrades and the sequel for the PC is being developed exclusively for X360 too called Far Cry 2.

The sequel for the Xbox version with instincts is being called "Next Chapter", and it sticks to the instincts story.

The xbox version is definitely worth $14.99, and paying double that isn't to bad if you have LIVE, where the real fun is. Single player is good, but the AI could've been better, and there's no difficulty setting to enhance the challenge.

The 360 versions will be way better. Also, I'm not fond of the "Predator" powers of the Xbox version, because it makes the game way to easy to beat, because your health automatically builds back up while your not getting hit. Plus, you can't turn the availability to get "predator" of in Death match which I think wrong, because the abilities aren't even.

Stuff like this should not be limited to weekly ad threads as people tend to skip them because usually they aren't that great..

I had no idea there was an update coming out in about a month. Do you think the game will be clearanced out further by other stores then? Are there any other details about extras in the Xbox version? I'm still considering picking this up for the price, but I may be enticed by a newer, improved version especially if the MSRP is $29.99 when it's released (like NG Black).

No, its not. The 360 version is a combination of Instincts and The Next Chapter with enhancements.
