I've been looking for good used CD/record stores in Manhatten without actually taking the train- I've been talking to friends and using citysearch (I'm in Westchester) I've heard good things about Mondo Kim's, any other good ones?

Note: I hate Virgin Mega.

Other Music at E. 4th and lafayette. Its across the street from tower. Small store, mostly new, but with a used section as well.

If you walk near (or on) St Marks Place there are several other record shops to check out.

If you're in Westchester, there's a great place in White Plains on Mamaroneck Ave. I can't remember the exact name of it but I believe it's about 2 blocks east of City Center. They've got a lot of CD's that no one has.

Cool, I just realized, is it that semi-sleazy discount-type store?
Maybe it's a hidden gem so i may check it out tomorrow, I promised one of my friends we could hang out at Whole Foods (give me something better to do, its a challenge) so that's nearby

Whole foods is underneath Fortunoff and next to Cheesecake Factory which is next to the mall with the Neiman Marcus and Nordstroms which is next to the building with PF Chang's in it and across from Stop and Shop.
I dont know the street names.

That's it. The prices are kind of crazy but there's some stuff there that you can't find at any of the big box stores. Sorry for ignoring you guys. I just never came back to this thread.
