Quantcast RULES: Read me first before using this forum - Cheap Ass Gamer

Search Bar

This search bar is a powerful tool for navigating CAG. You can use it to find the lowest prices on games, search members, forum and blog topics, and much more.

After typing in what you are looking for, you can filter your results by clicking on one of the tabs that pops up from the top of the search bar.

Tips

Looking for a game on a specific platform? Type in the platform name with the title!
Example: guitar hero 360

You don't need to click a pop-up tab to filter results. Just type what you are looking for right into the search bar.
Example: gears of war prices
Example: ninjatown review

RULES: CAG Gaming Auctions
*Special thanks to defender for writing these auction forum rules*

The auctions forums was created to keep all auction related posts together. This means discussions should include auctions you have created, auctions you feel are noteworthy, and general discussions about auctions. The few rules we are creating are for the benefit of the CAG community.

1. If you are posting your own auction, you must mention this in your post.

2. Do not post more than once if you have multiple auctions. This is extremely important NOT to spam the boards just because you have 20 auctions up and decide each one needs a post. If you do this your posts will be deleted. If it becomes a problem you may lose the privilege to post. If you want to post more auctions please EDIT your existing thread.

3. Do not thread crap. If you don't have useful or helpful input then please do not bother to post. Posts like "your price sucks" isn't gonna help anyone.

4. One bump per day. If you have a thread with your auctions listed you can only bump the thread once per day.

5. Self-Promoted auctions posted must be gaming related.

6. DO NOT POST TRADE OR FOR SALE LISTS HERE. There is a trading forums for that. This is the auctions forums.

Some really good things can be talked about here. Such as scam auctions and how to prevent being scammed. How to list something to maximize your profits. What would be a good price to start an item. We hope this forums goes really well and we will maky any adjustments to the rules to help it stay clean, fun, and productive.

Notes:

*links to eBay will automatically convert to affiliate links. Using these links to bid support CAG at no additional cost to yourselves. If there is a problem with a link, please let me know via PM.

Can I please ask anyone who decides to post their Ebay auctions to include it in some way in their topic title?

Good example: "My eBay auction for Rez starting at $20!"

Bad example: "Rez for $20!!!!!"

From the front page it looks a bit deceiving and some may think it's a deal. I have heard a couple of complaints as well. It doesn't happen alot, but it does sometimes. Thanks.

seriously...I see this so much. People should just be constructive about it instead of turning it into a pissing contest. Especially over shipping-- it doesn't really matter how much it is because usually the end bid depends on how much the person charges for shipping-- you still pay the same price.

Thats probably the thing I notice the most too. Although it does make it look like we have access to $29 copies of Gran Turismo 4

Agreed - I don't understand the need to harp on somebody's choice of pricing - apparently threadcrapping makes your manhood bigger and I never heard about it.

Threadcrapping in the auction threads of other CAGs is expressly forbidden. That needed to be stressed again, due to some recent events.

Does a link to a person's ebay list work with the affiliate deal too?
