I am on the hunt for a premium bundle now that (hopefully) the mega hype has died down... I have a $100 Frys gift cert so I was hoping to knock off a big chunk of the cost with that... since the nearest Fry's is about 40 minutes away (San Marcos) and I was not having any luck calling them, I was wondering if anyone has seen any at either the San Marcos or San Diego locations, and if they are forcing you into some stupid bundle like their website implies?

I don't know about Frys, but I do know that Circuit City in Escondido has 13 premium bundles in stock right now, but they haved temporarily removed them as sellable from the system and are going to re-release them for sale on Sunday morning.

That's odd Without being able to use the Fry's cert I wouldn't have enough money by then... hmph. Thanks for the heads up.

I had a 10% off coupon for Circuit City that was good on ANY purchase over $200, and I used it on a 360, but I threw it away because it expired last week. If I still had it I would have given it to you though, because the code was still valid in the system.

Why don't you buy something else and sell it on ebay in order to turn the credit into cash. The trick is to do a little research before hand so you can at least break even after tax, ebay and paypal fees. Check out the weekly sales (the motherboard combos seem to sell well), also check out if your Fry's has anything rare like Digital Devil Saga 1.

Ok, I do know that when I use store credit at Fry's and don't spend the full amount they give me the balance as cash, maybe you could buy a low priced item, say $10 or less, and get the rest back that way. I am not sure if Fry's Gift Certificates are the same as store credit so YMMV, is your GC a green printout, like store credit is, or is it something else?

It's not the green credit printout, and if Fry's has any kind of intelligent gift certificate program at all, they wouldn't give me $90 back in cash =/
