If anyone spots some premium 360's within 30 miles of either of these cities, please give me a heads up. Having to hunt this hard for one 4 months after launch is bordering on absurd.

yeah, it is ridiculous. i think theyre harder to find now than at christmas time. what gives?! they had large shipments around christmas(100 came in at my local costco) but now the well is dry. im starting to think its somehow intentional. are they keeping demand high until the other systems come out? are they already adding improvements to the thing? damned if i know.

I'm starting to think this console doesn't really exist and the world is playing a mind blowing elaborate prank on me.

I think they're holding shipments for later this month and early April, when they're supposedly launching a massive ad campaign and sending hella big shipments to most retailers. My local Best Buy is down for 80 systems, when they only got 30 on that big December shipment.

By this time April they should be everywhere. First wave is the 22nd of this month.

Of course, mostly just rumor, it's got some clout.

Well if anyone hears of any large shipments coming into SoCal stores (hopefully near the areas I mentioned in the topic title), PLEASE post here or drop me a PM... I'm getting so sick of looking, and dealing with the loons on eBay.

I need one too, I've been looking for the past 2 weeks. I really want one before Oblivion comes out, but it doesn't look like that will happen.

I think they were holding back to match up with the PS3 launch. Now that the PS3 launch was moved back, I don't know what the hell is going on with the 360. Maybe enough were defective to warrant a little more quality assurance before the damn thing leaves the factory.

Scored a 360 this past Saturday at TRU. They were the last store on my list too. Got the last premium. They also had 2 cores in the case. The premium however was in back, so you may have to ask someone. Give it a shot.

did they make you buy 6 games at full retail price when you bought the system? or could you just buy the system with no games at tru? i remember last year i saw the premiums in stock at tru but they wanted me to buy a lot of games(i think 5 or 6) at full retail price with the system

Nope, I just bought the system. The guy didn't even push their extended warranty.

OK I got one at Game Rush, which was awesome cause I was able to use $200 in store credit. The guy said that they been getting a couple in every other friday, so maybe you should check out GR if you got one near you.

Went to EB Games in Vista Village (Vista, CA) this morning, and they appeared to have about 2 of the regular systems and 2 of the premium systems.

Manager showed me the back room where all the PC games are now being kept (also where he had the 360s), since they are no longer putting PC Games on the wall due to inventory control issues. He's a pretty cool guy so he took a moment to brag about how he has a couple of them.

I'd move quickly on this one.

I'm just gonna wait until early April... I wouldn't be able to get down to Vista until Friday anyway, but thanks for the heads up. I appreciate it a bunch.
