OK so im wondering if maybe MGS4 gameplay might be adjusted to be more like resident evil 4 ?

To me RE 4 was a lot more fun to play then the previous one just because of the gameplay controls compared to all the previous versions.

After playing and beating RE4 i went and tried to play MGS3 and well lets just say i couldnt even play for more then a few minutes because every second i was asking why the game movement/controls were so gridlike .

I know what you are saying. I just started playing MGS3 and the controls are kind of hard to get used to. I get frustrated when I am trying to run away from a bunch of guys shooting me and I run by a wall and Snake backs up to the wall like I am trying to sneak or something. Then firing the weapon is a crap shoot because I can't aim up or down and there is no laser sight like RE4 so you have to just try to aim in the direction of the bad guys and hope you hit them.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to try my copy yet (no PS2) so I can't say for sure, but I thought some of the control problems with MGS3 were remedied in Subsistence. Although honestly, the RE4 controls and camera, while not perfect, would suit MGS nicely and would be a welcome improvement for me anyway.

there is first person shooting. You cant move while in first person, but you can aim pretty well.

I never really noticed these things until you pointed them out. It would be better if they fixed this. I wouldnt want them to change it completely to RE4, but a few minor fixes should make it a better game.

I doubt Kojima will adopt an RE4-like gameplay system for MGS4 because it's MGS and it's a different type of game than RE4. I've never really had a problem with MGS3, at least just from playing the Subsistence version and I don't see any need to change to be like an action horror game. That's like asking Driver to play like Gran Turismo or why Prince of Persia doesn't play like Jak and Daxter. If you want RE4-like gameplay, wait for RE5, otherwise, work on your MGS3 skills (or get Subsistence if you've got Snake Eater).
