I don't know if it's a glitch or what, but you can keep piling webmasters into one state and eventually your ads start making you money. So basically I just dump a bunch of them into one of the bigger states and then when you have a decent bankroll, filling the states up with smear merchants and spin doctors to crush your opponent.

That IS odd. Are you using the latest patch?

Sweetest moment of TPM in memory: Snatching the League of Women Voters endorsement away from Hillary! while playing as Ahnuld.

No patches here, that could be the issue. Guess I won't be patching anytime soon then

Heh, the boss characters usually can turn the entire thing into a one-issue election on the issue they have 200+ rating on simply because they churn out about 50 ads a turn. Pretty much every time I took down the likes of Washington or Lincoln, I was pretty much down to election night moving of spin doctors, number crunching, and prayer.

Other supersweet TPM moment: Wrecking Jimmeh Carter with Nixon, SWEEPING ALL FIFTY STATES BITCHES!

I completely wasted 10 minutes checking the Springfield, IL Big Lots today. Absolutely nothing but true crap, and they've had some decent stuff in the past.

Talking Update

Big Update. All games are $6.00 even. Looks like all future Big Lots games are going to be at least $6.00. This isn't all the new games at my Big Lots, but most.

Games released by The Adventure Company (Adventure Games):
Arthur's Knights & Arthur's Knights II (Huge Double Big Box Size with 2 games)
The Crystal Key (Big Box)
Beyond Atlantis (Big Box)
Traitor's Gate 2
The Moment of Silence
Echo: Secrets of the Lost Cavern
The Mystery of the Mummy
Sentinel: Descendents in Time
MISSING: Since January
Atlantis: Evolution
Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon

Games released by Dreamcatcher Games:
Painkiller: Gold Edition (Include original and expansion pack below)
Painkiller: Battle Out of Hell (Painkiller expansion pack)
Harbinger
Besieger
Enigma: Rising Tide - Gold Edition
Obscure
Curse: The Eye of Isis

Other:
Mafia
D-Day
Brothers In Arms: Road to Hill 30
Soldier Elite
Gore: Ultimate Soldier
Firefighter Command: Raging Inferno

My other Big Lots only had the last lot of games (Advent Rising, Vietcong 2, Psychonauts, etc). No Baldur's Gate at either, though! Painkiller and Mafia are probably two of the bigger names on the list, but if you are a fan of adventure games, there is an assload to choose from.

Yes you do, initially... first, you go and buy EA's "Godfather" for $40, play it for a while, realize how much it sucks arse.

And then you can buy "Mafia" and bask in its greatness... I wonder what Illusion Softworks are up to these days? I think they tried to license the LSD Engine (from Mafia) but didn't do so well... and I'm not sure if they're working on any new titles.

So which adventure games are good?

I'd take a Broken Sword if someone found it.

My Big Lots closed. :(

Just a word of warning - ALL of these games contain Starforce. (I removed the ones not mentioned on this page.)

If you have an issue with that particular copy protection method, well, now you know.

My Big Lots in Clovis, California had some Ubisoft titles: Splinter Cell Chaos theory, a bundle pack with the first two Splinter Cell games, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within and Rainbow Six: Lockdown.

Those games were at the Big Lots in the Western NY area about 4 months ago, if I remember correctly. Actually, yes I posted in January about those and others mentioned them even before that. It's weird how games are distributed...
