The Wii is such a strange name for such a great looking console. The Wii name can be confused with a lot of things that are inappropriate and there will be much confusion whenever someone refers to the Wii. Here are some examples:

"Is my Wii under warranty still?"
"It says in the manual that you should take a break from playing the Wii every hour."
"I think my Wii is broken"
"Did you hear Madden is coming to Wii?" (actual quote from an IGN blog)
"Sorry I was late. I was busy playing my Wii"

I can see a lot of these thing happening every day and it will definitely be embarrassing. I think I will just call the Wii the V to avoid such confusion. Do you think the Wii name will cause any embarrassing moments for you in the future?

nope. I never referred to my parts as anything remotely close to that, and that isn't even close what I used to call piss when I was little.

For me, the name is just weird and fun to use in absurd puns "Wii are not amused", etc. I don't have any problems saying it, and I certainly don't care what a clerk thinks about me at a store.

If they act like asses or make fun of me, I'll get them fired by raising a stink with their manager

If it runs like the 360 you can say....My Wii is burning.

Maybe nintendo is going with an urban ad campaign and will have slogans like "YO WII GOTS DA GAMES"

I can't wait to watch Reggie play with his Wii on stage at E3. After that, he's going to give the media some hands on time with the Wii, in the back room, so to speak.

Im sorry, but who ing actually says shit like that? "I am going to go play with my Wii?" Are you serious? Honestly have you ever used or heard anyone use the term 'wee' to describe urine or your dick since you were maybe five? Yea I'll admit it souds kinda wierd to say things like "Red Steel is a lauch title for Wii" or "Are there any good Wii games coming out soon?" (things people will ACTUALLY say) but the only thing that is going to spawn is people returning to old-school ways and calling it 'Nintendo' as in "Have you played Madden on Nintendo?" or "Im gonna buy the new Nintendo, it looks crazy"

Play with my Wii, I think my Wii is broken, and all equally lame lines will never leave the message boards. Real people do not say those things. If you do, either your balls havent dropped yet or you have the worst sense of humor ever. Now please people, lets get over it.

I'm sorry, but only 6 year olds would find jokes about a 'wee' funny. I can't believe people are bitching about the name...they must be REALLY immature.

I say I am going to play my Xbox or my PS2 is broken. Same thing will happen with the Wii. Whenever I try and say it, it feels wrong. I like the Wii and I think the system will be great. However I think the Wii name will make people laugh.

Wii is a stupid name regardless of the jokes.

Wii all can agree this is just another pointless thread about the name change.

That's the whole idea-- "Wii" is the revolution-- we've come full circle back to when we were 5, when we played the NES and took "wii breaks" from Mario instead of "piss breaks" from RE4.
