Wow, first we didn't need rumble and now we don't need computers. Pretty soon we won't need tv's, power supplies, controllers, etc. The PS9 is turning into more of a reality every day.

Can it burn CDs and DVDs? Can I install photoshop? Oh I guess I still need my PC. Asshats.

Listen I love my PS2, and I do get tired of the Sony Bashing lately. But the next thing I expect to hear from Sony is "We Don't Need Customers, We have the technology to build them!"

do not discount SONY- they are a jap company. microsoft IS afraid of them. A good indication of this is the gameplay demos from 2005 e3- those were all real. as a COMPANY sony rocks! OF course we know they will dominate the lives of all living people within the next three years. anyone else who thinks that microsoft is an important company or even contributes at all is a bunch of LIARS.

I think the web browser and stuff will be cool but i dont think i will be selling my computer any time soon i like photoshop,and cheap pc games.

Except for $600 anyone can buy or build a computer that will probably be significantly better and easier to use for all computer functions except gaming. I don't need to be able to access and surf the internet on every device I own, the computer is fine. Leave the online stuff for setting up and playing games.

This is why all the companies should focus on making consoles for GAMING. Practically everyone has some kind of computer that can do whatever they want with. I'm not really excited about Nintendo's motion sensor controller but it least it has a function related to gaming and that is a step in the right direction.

Uh...for basic stuff I guess that could be true (typing and web browsing) otherwise probably not.

For now, my stance on the next gen is:

Nintendo
Sony
Micorosoft

I'm sticking with my PS2 for the next 2 years it looks like. From what the next gen has shown I'll be fine not getting a next gen console for a couple of years.

well i am to cheap to buy a router so having a web browser on the ps3 will make it so i dont all ways have to get up and connect it to the pc if i wanna get online

You can get wired routers for free after rebate or damn close to it if you want. But I see your point. You might need to have a table or desk near the PS3 if you want something to put a keyboard or mouse on, surfing the internet with a Playstation controller would be a pain in the ass I think.
