I know someone will say 'but it's WORTH at least that much' but to me, this is just crazy.

I used to own this (original label version). I think I traded it in to EB years ago. Doh.

Edit: note the hole punched in the case. That likely indicates that it's a promo item. But it's also a damaged case as the hole goes all the way through the back.

I will punch anyone in the face if they buy this game for that much. Especially if they can go to Target and buy the GH for $15!

The only people who would want this for $179+ would be collectors who will never open the game up. Although sealed, I think the hole in the case makes it a lot less appealing to collectors.

The hole punch means more than likely its a promo game. This was given out free to someone and thats how the game companies can tell it wasn't sold actually in retail. No way I'd pay that much for a Promo game with a hole in it!!

It's pure crap. No doubt. No game is worth more than $20 more than the GH/Platnum/Player's Choice packaging. I mean we're not talking about a game that ISN'T made anymore like Suikoden II, Panzer Dragooon Saga or Castlevania: SOTN.

It's freakin' Tactics. Only a total geek colector would pay this price. No true market value is reperesented by this.

EDIT: I sent an email to the guy. I told him crack was definitely his friend if he thought this game would collect 2 "C" notes.

Well, considering I have this game, and have been offered well over $300, I'd say that's a deal.

Most collector's will agree, that sealed originals, are the most precious.

When it went out of print, I had my buddy at a local rental place, find me one. As he also acted as a game pawn shop. I think it's a GameCrazy, but I'm not sure.

Anyways, he didn't know it was OOP, and he sold it to me for $30.

I listed it on eBay, to see what it'd get, in 2003.
The highest bid, was for $340, and I was asking $10 shipping.

I used my mom's dormant account, as I didn't have one at the time, and took the negative feedback.

I just wanted to see what people would pay.

It's crazy.

I'll never sell it though.
It is one of the best games ever, and hasn't been outdone, by any tactical game yet. IMHO.

FFT original packaging is worth about this much. AND it's sealed. Not exactley a good deal, but it's not outrageous.

I am not exaggerating.

Take for instance, my sealed Panzer Dragoon Saga.

I just bought it a few months ago, for $120. Right now, used copies, are going for $255+.

I bet you a sealed, will score $350+, depending on who's looking.
It may have been a one time deal, that I could have jumped on, but I don't know.

That's how eBay is.

You are free to beleive what you want. Flame as much as you like. I'm only telling you what had happened.

Perhaps it's because I also said I'd toss in the promotional poster, and calendar, that I got, when I preordered it. Who knows.

:P
