Hmm - thanks for the link. It looks promising, but I'd like a little more than a "Yes" answer to that question. How, exactly, would that work? Is it only MP while the "host" account is online and playing, or can they play by themselves without my account signed in? I'll be cautiously optimistic about it but I don't think that totally settles it. If they can nail it down so they can play online whenever (and even from different systems if I end up with 2 in the house like I currently have with PS3) then that is awesome and I'm even more on board.

I wouldn't be shocked if it was a "activation" like service, which would work / be similar to how we can play games on any account on your system. It probably just flips a switch and bam, you're done!

MSRP on 12 months of Live is $59.99, which is 12 cents under $5 dollars, which is probably why they did that. Also when you consider that page even says $5.00 per month, it seems even more likely. If it had nothing to do with this, then I would be seriously surprised and wonder what type of Marketing team Sony has...

It looks to me like it's included because they don't say "optional accessory" or something like that anywhere. I would like to say it's included but it may have to be bought extra because of the already $399 price tag.

I for one don't really care about the camera, just like I never cared about the Kinect for 360. So the fact that it's separate doesn't affect my future purchase decision at all. Never been a motion gamer.

 
I personally think motion gaming is going the way of virtual reality. So I am glad Sony is not including the eye and keeping the cost down.
 
Confused about games like infamous being dropped in the next update. When is that? I was going to become a plus member today, dust off the old ps3

I played it on the PS3 since I have not pulled the trigger on the Vita yet. I thought it played well that way. I am sure you know that you can get 2 plats for the price of one with that one and the cloud save feature.

Played and absolutely loved it on PS3, but I think it would be equally good on vita. I would go with personal preference, or both even (cross save)

The only Tomb Raider option in the store is the bundle with the DLC and Quantum Conundrum. It stands to reason that will be the one that will be on sale.

Ah, I didn't realize that was the only option available on PSN. A little weird since they just list it as Tomb Raider on the blog and offer QC separate. I won't be arguing if you get both for $20.

I felt it played better on the vita. Especially when playing the Beat School Levels. It was easier to touch the screen on the vita than navigate to the squares on the dual shock.

Actually Single Player DL is 11.1 GB and multiplayer is 4.6 GB. Not bad at all.
 
I just hope the ps4 has a port on the back of the system for the camera. Going from the front of the system then around to the back looks so tacky.

 
With all these PS+ games 160GB isn't enough. Debating on doing the ole switcheroo with my MacBook's 500GB HDD and the ps3 since I use iTunes Match for my music in the cloud and backup my movies and stuff to an external HDD. I'm too cheap to pay $50 for a 500GB HDD :/

I have the same problem with my 160 GB model. You know that you don't have to download all of the games at once, right? I just download 1 game at a time, and clear it out after I finish playing the game. Right now I have 51 GB cleared, and I still can't download Uncharted 3, even though I just wanted it on my download list since I already have a hard copy of it.

I don't even see the option to choose to download just the single player or the multiplayer, so 15 GB DL is a moot point. The fact of the matter is that the free Uncharted 3 game here for Plus members to download is 40 GB, which means that you'll need 80 GB of room in order to download it. I don't see a lot of people with that kind of available space.

Did you notice that the regular amount for the Tomb Raider's bundle is just $22, and for Plus member it's $20? That's only $2 off. Great deal either way for this fantastic game. I just don't want to download 10 GB worth of space to my Hard Drive if I am going to purchase the game. If I were buying, I would rather get a physical copy. I'm hoping that this game will be an IGC one day.

The fact of the matter is that the free Uncharted 3 game here for Plus members to download is 40 GB, which means that you'll need 80 GB of room in order to download it. I don't see a lot of people with that kind of available space.
Looks like optional movie files are included in that file size, so it may not end up being nearly as big.


Notes: - Multiplayer Free to Play is a required install to play single player. - Due to large file sizes, Single Player 3D Movies, Spanish Language Pack, French Language Pack, and Brazilian Language Pack are optional installs and are not required to play single player.


Actually Single Player DL is 11.1 GB and multiplayer is 4.6 GB. Not bad at all.



I have 51 GB of available space, and I still can't download Uncharted 3. Need double the amount of space, so 80 GB.

When you check out with Uncharted 3 single player, it adds the individual pieces to your download list, so you don't need 80 GB of room. There's 6 files, with each of the movies ones over 10. And those are optional. Well maybe just the 3D one, but still.

I feel like PSABR could hit $10 from Gamefly. Also I prefer physical copies and I'm not in any rush to play it. $14 seems like a good price though.

And I'm all over Walking Dead at that price. I'm glad I held off when it hit $10 for the Best of sale a few months ago.
 
So my understanding is that the Uncharted Single Player Experience, the Uncharted F2P Multiplayer Pack, and the Uncharted 2D movies are probably all necessary to get the full enjoyment out of the single player game.  Over the coming days, maybe someone could work to confirm all this.  I'll try as well.
