You played Binding of Issac or Dungeons of Dredmor? I bought it on PC and PS3 (for the Vita version). It offers the same replayability that Binding and other rogues offer. You unlock/learn more as you keep playing and fuckING DYING. I do some stupid shit to kill myself, but you can also get some really good runs going with items. I bought it like a week ago and have put almost 40 hours on PC.
I feel like a terrible gamer right now as I have never heard of Dredmor and only vaguely remember some mention of Issac at some point. Are those PC only games? I doubt they came out on PS3 as it is the only system I own and I dont play PC games. What are these games? Just trial and error and when you die you begin anew each time?

Binding of Isaac is coming to PS4 (and I think Vita) next year. I have it on Steam (I'm sure from some Bundle) but I've never played it, I'm waiting for the Sony version. I've never heard of that other game either.

So I was going to get the House of the Dead bundle for HoTD3 and HoTD4 but it also comes with HoTD Overkill and I already own the disc version. Now I'm not sure if I want to spend the money because I really don't want a digital copy of Overkill. I thought the bundle just included 3 and 4.

Yep PC only, though Isaac will be on PS4. They've both been available for a couple dollars each several times and will run on almost anything so well worth checking out. Isaac has gotten almost 90 hours out of me.

Just realized I have a bunch of stuff from the Halloween sale last year that I haven't had time to play. FML. I need to stop buying games until I can go through everything I already have.

Getting extra stuff is stupid.

Maybe he is just worried about the space. Which I would assume you can delete each one individually? Are 3 and 4 move compatible?

is plants vs zombies pure touch screen on the vita or can i use buttons..

then again is it worth 5 bucks .. doubt it (if i already have it for 3ds)
You can choose to either play with touch controls or button controls. The Vita version is the definitive version, so it's worth a purchase unless you're okay with playing the worst console/handheld version.

Best Buy has 1 year of PS+ for $40 if you have a gamers club card (free). Or maybe that requires unlocked? I'm not sure. $40 for 1 year is better than spend $50 and get a $10 credit (i.e. $60+ worth of stuff for $50+ vs. exactly $50 worth of stuff for $40).
I'm talking about the current cashback promo on PSN, which Sony has used to also promote the purchase of PS+ subs that has caused some people to think is a separate promo itself. I was trying to make it clear that there's no specific promo for PS+.
Mixed input. Only update otherwise is that you can shake the system to collect drops (sunshine and seeds?) I would never, ever say that PvZ is worth spending money on. I played it free on iOS and felt like it was still a waste. No idea why people enjoy that game.
The iOS/Android versions are the worst available due to the way they tried to nickle and dime people for the full experience that they should've gotten the first time they purchased it, so the amount of grinding needed to get an experience that everybody else offered up front is utterly ridiculous. If you don't like the game, period, then you're not adding much of anything to a discussion about which versions are best.

Yes, you get each game separately. They didn't make a completely new thing that puts all three games into one file. All three games are Move compatible.

picked up dead island goty for $5, thats it for me this week. unless i break and buy beer pong for laughs. the screenshots for that game are pretty fucking brutally awful.

I'll say I paid about $7 for PvZ when I first got my Vita and it was well worth it. It's fun and gets progressively more challenging as it goes, and it's well suited for portable format with lots of extra content to keep you busy unless you just absolutely hate it for some reason. I'm actually surprised how much time I got out of it, but it's got what's essentially a Game+ mode which adds to the replay value too. I'm not a trophy whore but some of the trophies add extra challenges that are entertaining.

Lame for me that it is the standalone version of Undead Nightmare that's on sale for $5.  I already have the game, so I'd prefer it just be the DLC on sale since it is 1.9 GBs.  The standalone version is 9+ gigs.

Kind of makes me want to just get the standalone disc instead...

my god.

also the trophies look super super easy. i might be doing this.

I am rather confused. I "bought" Hotline Miami Vita and it is cross-buy. It of course won't let me buy the PS3 version, but on my Download List it just lists the Vita version. I am sending it to my PS3 and waiting to see what it does, but as of right now this is rather annoying based on what I can see.

I am getting a little concerned with space limitations on my PS3 and I already own Overkill on disc so I don't want or need a digital version of the game. I thought there was a bundle pack that just came with HoTD 3 and 4. I remember being interested in it a while back and was going to wait for a sale. Maybe I was wrong. The Bundle is 12GB, 7.5 GB of that is just for Overkill.

Maybe I will still grab this but I need to double check my storage on PS3.

People that complained about the Corpse Party games not being on sale can stop complaining since they're both on sale for $9.99 now.

Those complaining that the rest of the Sleeping Dogs DLC isn't on sale can also stop with the complaints since a bunch of them are also on sale this week for 50% Off.

Is this the same Beer Pong that came out on Wii like three years ago? Sure looks like it...

Just don't download Overkill then.

You realize that you don't actually have to download Overkill if you buy the whole bundle, right? Just download the ones you wanted (3 & 4) and leave Overkill to wander aimlessly in your download list.

Don't tell me what to do.

When are the fuckin Corpse Party games going to be on sale?

Then what are we supposed to be complaining about?!

I bought the PS3 version and it downloaded fine but only the Vita version's in my list as well.

I can still complain that the HotD games aren't on sale separately and that the PSN/Vita version of Alien Breed isn't on sale with the rest of the series, right?

Warning: Hotline Miami Vita charges $9.99 @ when using webstore!
Add ps3 version to cart instead to get it for free.

People complaining about people complaining can stop complaining, because Frisky has that covered.

Then what are we supposed to be complaining about?!

I bought the PS3 version and it downloaded fine but only the Vita version's in my list as well.
OK so after some looking around this is what I did/found:

  • Bought Hotline Miami (Vita) on the webstore, sent that to DL on the PS3/Vita.
  • PS3 started to download the Vita version, not what I wanted of course.
  • Check download list via webstore, says I only own the Vita version and I can't "buy" the PS3 version due to crossbuy
  • I went to my PS3 directly. Went to PSN store and saw it said I own Hotline Miami for PS3 so I could download it
  • I then checked the DL list on the PS3 and it said I own both the PS3 and Vita version.

So overall it seems on the webstore it is only showing you the version you "bought" for download. But on the respective platform (PS3/Vita) you can download the proper versions.

Hope this helps some people.

Don't have a problem on my end.
It was free when I added it to cart but the $9.99 price popped up at checkout. The ps3 version was both free when adding to cart and free at checkout. Weird that the glitch only happened to me but whatever. At least I got it.

I "bought" the PS3 version and I see both in my download list when I click on the link in the drop down menu under my account name on the web store page.

Edited to add:

The PS3 listing has a "Download to your PS3" button and the PS3/Vita listing has a "Download..." button that lets me pick which version I want to download when I click it.

I think he means when you check the item's description page it doesn't show that you bought it. So you can't add the vita version to queue from that specific page in the webstore.

Also, for everyone wondering, in the comments they say purchases made after the store updates next week should count up until about midnight Pacific time.

Downloaded Hotline Miami (YESSSS), RE4, TWD PS3 (might get Vita if I like it enough), Code Veronica and looking forward to the $2 Fatal Frames

Is corpse party a good game? I see there are two different games of it on the psn store, which one is better?
Corpse Party is the first game and Corpse Party: Book of Shadows is the sequel. I have only played the second (which I reviewed), but there is some crossover with the characters. The game is basically a point and click/ visual novel kind of game, but there are multiple endings to the various chapters. I enjoyed Book of Shadows, but it was pretty creepy, gory and depressing.

Holy crap! Resident Evil 4, Undead Nightmare, and Corpse Party 2 on sale! Buying them all. I have, literally, been waiting all year for these sales!!

And Walking Dead 400 Days too...spending way too much money...plus I have no clue when I'll have time to play them with Arkham Origins coming out Friday. Oh well, getting them anyway.

No I meant what I said.

On the webstore it says I do not own the PS3 version. If I go to my download list all that is there is the Vita version. If I go to the PS3 listing on the webstore it tells me I can buy it. Perhaps it was a bug when it first went to free and they fixed it, I don't know.

Did anyone buy the Nightmare Before Christmas level pack for LBP2? The name says level creator kit, but the write-up made it sound like there would actually be levels included. I don't want to buy it if it only includes stuff to create my own levels in LBP2. Thanks!

There is supposed to be a level in both kits but it's mainly about the assets to build more levels.
