New Thread:

This thread has been replaced by TSDT v11

Daily Deal:
Please check the Steam homepage.

Weeklong Deals:
Steam usually has week-long deals that change on Mondays at 6PM UTC. They mostly feature indie games, and may not run every week.

Sale summary lists:

Key:
⤷ indicates DLC, — specifies part of a pack, + shows alternative versions, ⚠ highlights things worth knowing, ♫ is obvious, and ... denotes a multi-pack.

Holiday Sale 2013 | 19/12/13 through 3/1/14:
Days 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-14.

Spring/Autumn Sale 2013 | 27/11/13 through 3/12/13:
All days.

Steam deals on other stores: (Related threads on CAG.)

Indie* bundle threads: (*Not always indie, nor always a bundle.)

Free stuff:
There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

I gave Rush Bros. another try and I simply cannot stand that game. I'm probably going to ask Steam support to -remove- the game from my account. It's that bad.

That and the achievements are friggin' insane. I think Super Meat Boy has -easier- ones...
Have you played Eryi's Action yet?
Not sure which would drive me insane first.

Can anyone recommend La-Mulana? It's $3.74(75% off) and I'm considering it as I love platformers. I missed it when it when it was bundled :(

Doesn't seem to work for me. When I click "click here for your steam keys" they all come up and all the buttons are green even though I know I redeemed at least some of them. Is there a way to check right in steam or in the steam app?

Should have the name of the Steam ID and date redeemed next to the steam button (This will be green now instead of gray) under your bundle list. That is what is showing for me under the past bundles I've purchased this month. If it is not redeemed then the box next to the steam button (which should be gray) should say click to redeem on steam.

Edit: Also I see the gift box option is missing under the keys that I have redeemed so that is another indicator.

You can ask Steam to remove games from your account?

I still lose sleep over having logged 2 hours into Ride To Hell: Retribution.

I like it a lot. Just a heads up, though, you likely won't complete a damn thing without a guide; for example, there is a point early on with an invisible walkway. There is no hint to it's location, nor any reason a player would attempt to find it based on prior experience, but the area can't be completed without knowing about it. The game is filled with stuff like this, but you'll still enjoy the ride. I really need to go back and complete it one day.

Are you saying you don't know what games you already own?

I have. Both are bad, but Rush Bros is worse.

So very very bad.
I wouldn't call them both bad. Eyri's Action is tough on purpose, but Rush Bros. is bad because the dev had no idea what he wanted to do with the game.

I've actually held off on activating my Eyri's Action bundle key because I heard comparisons to Bunny Must Die, which I found interesting but the awful, awful jumping physics and walking control ruined it for me.

Yes, you can. You don't get a refund, and you don't get a tradable copy, they just remove the game from your subscription (purchase) list and the game is no longer in your account. I had them remove a couple of bundle fodder games that I would never, ever touch or that had broken achievements.

I both hate and love that. I think this is right up my alley. Sucks I missed the bundle. Truth be told I've never heard of this until I was browsing the sales yesterday/today. How I missed this . . . I don't even know.

Somebody make me stop playing this damn Marvel Puzzle Quest.  With all the grinding I don't have time to play any of my real games.  Damn you Disney!

Great News! The Amazon AppStore finally sale priced it..

Buy SotMC for $0.99 on mobile and get a steam key. fuck yeah!

I got it for free with my Amazon Coins! :whee:

Thanks Miranda for posting this yesterday! (Amazon was charging $2.99 yesterday.)
Hooray! I don't know what Amazon coins are or how I wound up with 280 of them but I got this for "free" with 99 of 'em!

No, I mean I bought some of the games on sale on steam previously, then when I bought a humble bundle, I didn't realize I already owned some of the games in the bundle. But I don't remember which ones exactly from the bundle I redeemed and which I already owned. So I want to trade or give away the keys I didn't redeem because I already owned the game. Is the only way to check my steam purchase history for dates? Can I even do that?

Having played Eyri's Action I can tell you it is not "tough on purpose" it is "trolls on purpose."

NEW FLYING BUNDLE. REPEATS GALORE!

Tier 1 (minimum $1)

- Uprising 44: The Silent Shadows (Desura/Greenlight)
- An Alien with a Magnet (Desura/Greenlight)
- Agricultural Simulator 2011 (Steam)
- Garshasp: Temple of the Dragon (Steam)

Tier 2 (minimum $3)

Nothing new for me in tier 2. Any thoughts on Uprising 44 or An Alien with a Magnet? What about Mystery Game? Anyone played that? I'm having trouble finding the Greenlight page for it.

How did I miss out on this Secret Santa action?
Who says you did? How does a copy of Cargo Commander sound?

Upper right corner of steam (client or websi) "username's account" -> account details.

If you redeemed a humble link for a game you already owned, I think you're SoL (not positive, never done it myself).

Pretty much this...

If you redeemed a humble link for a game you already owned, I think you're SoL (not positive, never done it myself).

Also, if you redeem duplicate games, I don't think it will show in your Steam account details. I recall someone mentioning in the Humble thread that they did this (activated games to their own account which they already owned) and said there was no obvious way to undo those actions.

Also, any unclaimed Humble links will still have the grey logo and gift icon next to them.

Is my memory playing tricks on me? I thought Risk Of Rain's discount was supposed to be 40%.

Not that it matters since I wont be buying it. But I could have sworn the discount was supposed to be 40% back when I voted for it this afternoon.

Not willing to turn tricks for cash to buy FFVII??? ...some gamer you are! ;)
...are you hiring?

{Yawns.}

Need a double-pack for these ancient FF games I already own on the old PSX.

I'm thinking like $5 for both of these FF7+8 Re-Releases.
You calling them ancient makes me feel old. -.-

Broforce beta is $10 on humblestore also, yay or nay?

Technically, a large portion of the community voted for Risk of Rain (40% off), but then someone had to alter it. >.<

You can, by clicking on "your name's account" and viewing account details, then going to store transactions. That'll tell you what you bought, when you bought it, and how you got it. Well, it'll say that you got it via "CD Key" or "Purchase" anyway.

Not necessariy relevant info to this situation but: If you got a game in a trade, you can look it up in your trade history, viewable from your inventory page. Of course, if you got the game as a gift, it won't show up on that list, and the generic "Licenses and subscriptions" list doesn't give dates. So you'll have to look and see if you got an email about it, since I'm pretty sure you get one even if you're gifted the game through Steam.

As far as Humble Bundle goes, if you're talking about the new system, if you redeemed a game to your account that you already owned, I think you're basically screwed out of that game. If you're talking about the old system that actually gave you a key to enter into steam, if you tried to redeem it and already owned the game, then the key is still good.

If you're going to add me and want a game, you have to message me. I forget who added me and can't be bothered looking through my friend's list.
