I think that when you get locked out you are locked out from that particular device. When you got home and used your PC it worked - that's why.

I've struggled with getting it for the same reason. TSW seems like an MMO you don't have to play regularly with groups,. Sorry if I'm enabling you.
 
Wonderful.  I added funds to my steam wallet to purchase the remaining cards for my wife and now I'm locked out of all market transactions because I used a new payment method.  So now if I don't even get all the cards necessary for her to craft a badge, I can't even sell the cards I have.  Thanks, Steam!

Well, LOTRO is a generally pretty solo-friendly MMO too--I just have too many SP games and too little gaming time. I also have a bunch of media reviews I haven't written in the last, oh, month because I'm not busy enough at work to not be able to squeeze in a little forum-reading and commenting time, but I'm too busy to do any serious Wordpressing.

I closed the tab. I almost ordered a Rift CE from Amazon for $20 recently and I have a hard-copy Tera standard version I picked up for $6 on clearance at Target. I also debated picking up GW2 on one of its many recent sales (I think it's still on sale from ArenaNet for $30). I just can't justify spending so much money on something I'm not going to play for a long time. Heck, I'm pretty sure Warhammer: Age of Reckoning is shut down now and I haven't used any of the codes in the CE I bought a few years ago for $30.

This is really strange. I'm reading people who cant access the Store but can the community (Inventory/market/etc) and then theres those of us who cant access the community but can the store (like me). WTF Steam.

Not strange, just different servers. And don't blame Steam (this time), blame Derp or whoever was/is behind the ddos attack.

Isn't that just the first craftable snow globe badge but they put a Christmas light decoration around it as a "look at this! you want this!" kind of thing?

East coast as well and community is completely down. However, a friend on the west coast is also community down.

Looking at Steam's facebook, there's people in Europe that are also having the same issue, some store, some community. Its pretty widespread.

I can access the store, but just as a test I went to add something to cart and got this error:

"An error was encountered while processing your request:

There was an error trying to load your shopping cart. Please try again later."

Or a smart one! Damn native Michiganders used to driving in the snow, THAT"S NOT ME!!!! I'm a transplant valley girl from SoCal, I'll never enjoy driving in this crap! NEVER, I tell you!

....ok, I feel better now, off to build a fire, it's freeeeeeezing...

Yep, I only teamed up a couple of times in LOTRO and I got about 80 hours or so before I lost interest / hit the pay wall.

Central US and the only thing I can really access is the store front page.  Last night was the same.  It appears that my decision between selling off my globes cheap and crafting a badge has been made for me.  Instead I'm just going to let my globes go poof.

 
I'm bored and I've been buying/reselling snow globe foils for easy profit.. I figured I'd let you guys know, now that there's 1 hour left to do it ;)

I'm really not big on unnecessary travel in bad conditions. My bit of growing up in SoCal set my thermostat... NoCal is cold. (Then again, I have friends from NH that say NoCal is cold... it's not the temperature, it's the dampness).

 
Last 30min - anyone have a spare 2 or 5?  That's all I need to get my wife to level 5!

Can trade steam summer cards or others in my inventory.  I have duplicates of:

Defense Grid #1 - Protect the Cores
FTL - Rock Cruiser
Left for Dead2 - Charger

 
I will continue not to post my real picture out of an act of independence.

Also I think I've only taking one picture I halfway like in the last five years.

25 minutes left in the sale... can we still earn trading cards with purchases? I noticed the little bar in the cart isn't filling up after I spent $6, but the fact that the bar is still there makes me wonder if it's still possible.

I'm amazed the market never crashed. There are around 750,000 regular cards and 9,000 foils about to go up in smoke. I guess a very large percentage of the sellers are just not paying attention. Buyers seem to keep eating up the regular cards at 15 cents too. If only they slowed down, we could have seen 3 cent cards!
