Humble Bundle Thread

With all this talk about Hammerwatch (I know, yesterday's news which is my today's news until tomorrow changes to today and I notice everyone is talking about Race to the Sun...yesterday) is the game worth $2? I saw a few mentions but no definitive "Yea or Nay".
Check your PMs Steam.

Race the Sun is so freaking awesome, I have no regrets of paying more for it!

Speaking of which you need to get back to trying to top my score ^_~
Sorry, I've been busy with other games.

You can't.

By my count, that's 19 graphic novels for $15, so you're paying less than a dollar per book.

and there's that app thing too
Less than 20¢ each, actually.

Thing is, I just finished the first arc, with Archie Maplin, and it got kinda overly campy for me. Maybe I just don't like the Doctor character in general.

Also, the art in the first two issues wasn't great for the most part.

Well, I can't speak to the quality of any of the stories. I'm a sufficiently-obsessive Doctor Who fan to want these and this is likely the cheapest I'll ever see them, so even if they're terrible, I can live with the price I paid for them.

great dollar tier here. if you don't buy it leave cag now
HA! HA!, I ALREADY HAVE THE SUPER-SPECIAL GOG EDITION WITH WALLPAPERS AND.....WALLPAPERS...AND I ONLY PAID $2.50 INSTEAD OF THE INFLATED HUMBLE PRICE OF A $1! HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT HUMBLE?!?!?!?!? SUCK IT HUMBLE!!!!!

Fair enough. I'm just low on funds. It's one of those cases where the meal is only a dime, but I don't like chicken.

Except you're not logged in, so I can't give you your game.

Check your PMs? :p
It seems our new relationship is off to a rocky start. I see no CAG PMs. I am logged in to the Steam web site and am now logged in to the Steam client. My profile is public. I accepted your friend request. What more do you want from me BobbyTastic? ! I don't think I can handle this relationship!!!

Edit - And like magic it is there. I was just about to un-friend you! Just kidding. Thanks so much for Hammerwatch!

So is that the orgy emoticon now?
Just a friendly hug Squirrel. Join us if you wish.

But is the top tier worth an extra $9+? My BTA is locked in at $5.50 or so.

Depends on how much you like Who, I guess. The stuff in the top tier is 50th anniversary material, which was crafty because they knew that would rope in people like me. From your perspective, it would be a question of whether you think you would be a) interested in the Prisoner of Time and Girl Who Loved Dr Who stories and b) could get them cheaper down the road than $10. The GWLDW one-shot is apparently $0.99 through Comixology. The three-volume Prisoners of Time arc will run you about $12 for the three Kindle editions. All four of these books appear to be pretty well-received, if that helps any.

I'll give credit where it is due.  Being able to buy F-Zero for $1 is nice and paying a lot less than Spoder after he was gloating about getting it on GOG for $2.50 is even better.

Look at all the #fakeCAGs! I've waited this long for Race the Sun, I can wait a bit longer for it to be in a real bundle. You all are going to be kicking yourselves when Indiegala runs a Friday or Monday special next week with it and four other games.

I plan to kick you instead.

Race the Sun for $1 ....sweet!

I'd highly recommend spending a buck on this if you have any interest at all.

Race the Sun is very approachable... easy to learn, hard to master.... and runs on just about any computer. It works for both short and long play sessions.

(of course sucks for people who just bought it on GOG/Steam).
WTH?!?!??

I just bought this recently on GOG w/ DRM-FREE + Steam-key.

And now HB does this to me?

I ain't even played the damn game yet, even though I have installed it.

WTH???!!?

Clearly GOG is the devil and the DRM-free games they sell are a scam. Are you ready to stop caring about games being DRM-free now?

GOG is NOT the devil.

I got both Steam-key and DRM-FREE version from GOG.

Which is basically what HB is doing, as well.

And this is the way it should ALWAYS be done, anyways.

I blame the dev's for putting this in a HB so damn soon.

are you now so sarcasm resistant that you ignore ycs?

$1 is okay by me for a pretty highly recommended game (Race the Sun). It's still cheaper than Steam and, though it isn't in a proper bundle, I don't mind breaking my .50 per indie game threshold.

Is the online mode only through Steam for Race?  On their register page it says;

HUMBLE CUSTOMERS: see your Humble download page for your key..

but I'm not seeing it anywhere (besides Steam key of course).

Thanks!

Yes, only the steam version has the leaderboards afik. (I bought it from GOG back at Xmas... there's a good reason to play the steam version.)
