It's more likely that it's never been in a bundle yet or on a cheap sale and is not some big AAA or otherwise well known super popular game that has sold a bajillion copies. The fact that it's $20 and looks like an NES game probably isn't helping sales either. Also anything weeaboo usually sells for a bit higher card prices.

I have hundreds of friends on Steam and almost none of them have this. Just one that literally buys everything and Carlmundo who maybe got a comp review copy or for giveaways or some such.

Really though, games that are a bit more obscure and/or just aren't really popular pre sale/bundle tend to have much higher card prices. That's normal. Then when they get in a bundle or on some really cheap sale the prices drop like a rock and pretty much stay that way.
I believe that it sold millions of copies and I'm the only one that noticed this.

Seriously, it doesn't really matter how or where it's sold. I just wanted to give people in here a heads up since I hadn't seen any news posted about it anywhere on Steam, so people here can jump in and get a decent return on the cards before they plummet like a rock.

A $20, month old, never on sale indie game has sold millions of copies? Not hardly. Even games at the top of the top sellers list take several months to sell millions.

Half-Minute Hero was in BeMine 12. It hasn't been featured in another bundle.

It did sell a lot of copies but not "millions", at least not on PC. It was a wildly successful PSP game, though.

it seemed to work for a while after making the post, but now it gets stuck at 'waiting for store.steampowered.com' again

anyway i hope it's temporary and thanks for your answer

Not sure if you're joking but, you've always had to reserve a copy on our website.

I don't look at any of the "voted" comments. Think how mind numbing that would be!
I can't keep up with remembering how and when all of these giveaways happened, all I know is that I specifically remember voting for and reserving Gearcrack Arena and haven't gotten a key (not in my spam box either). Is this a common occurrence?

Strangely enough every game I voted for/reserved that has released keys so far I've gotten except for Gearcrack Arena.

I'm sure I voted and reserved but maybe I'm wrong.

Edit: Gearcrack Arena isn't in my list of games I voted for so I guess I didn't but I'm sure I did. Maybe that vote never registered and so everything never connected. Oh well.

Not that I know anything about the routers you're interested in (since my own is going on 6-7 years old), but if you're having issues with range, why not just get a repeater. The problem with wifi is wall penetration and the higher the frequency, while potentially carrying more data, the more susceptible to physical interference it is. There's a reason that emergency responders still operate in narrow 900MHz bands.
I don't understand networking, but last time I did some research into repeaters or extenders it sounded like adding one to your network cuts your speed in half. When I read that I stopped looking into that as an option.

Bleh @ Skyrim DLC's Dawnguard + Dragonborn are WAY more than the base-game.

(Already own Skyrim base-game + Dragonborn, BTW).

Bleh @ Hearthfire is not too much less than Skyrim base-game.

Bleh @ Bethesda + Zenimax.

Classless devs scamming people right before releasing a new version of both of these games.
For what it's worth anyone that owns 2033/Last Light gets 50% off the Redux versions (I'm not sure if this will be extended past preorders though), which takes off more than either game costs on sale right now. I'd hardly call it a scam; it's not as if you aren't still getting a game, or that it will become unplayable once the new version releases.

I don't feel like wading into this mess. So i'm being brief and pointing you are resources.

There are two ways to extend a wireless network, (1) add another access point... this connect to Ethernet and provides another wireless access point, this method is ideal. It requires you to have ethernet run to the physical location you want to add it. (2) add a repeater, which connects to wireless and repeats it... can/usually reduce bandwidth, but doesn't require ethernet to be run.

I'm having an internal debate on how long I wish to wait to play this game. $40 is still too high. I'm thinking $20 might be alright... maybe $15. Hopefully it drops a bit more by Christmas.

PSA

BundleSaviors' Mumbo Jumbo Bundle $3 ends in 5 hours.
Thanks! I only needed two of those, but they don't usually drop that low on Steam and Mumbo Jumbo bundles tend to have rather random selections in them each time.

Anyone that likes hidden-object and puzzle games should really take a hard look at this bundle as there's plenty of good stuff in it, particularly when you think about what kind of crap $2.99 will usually net you in most other bundles.

Wasn't Gearcrack Arena one of those giveaways with limited number either first come first serve or raffle style? I'm pretty sure they only had x amount of keys for that one and if you never received a Desura key for it then that meant you wouldn't be getting a Steam key for it. Did you guys ever get a Desura key for it?

I pre-ordered for $20 and it was well worth it if you are a fan of the sow. $40 is probably high for something with limited replay value.

Even without being a big fan of the show, I had a lot of fun with South park (how the hell did you get it for $20 Cheap?) and didn't regret getting it early.

Is it me, or does it seem weird that the Steam thread has the updates for another distro's Summer Sale instead of it being its own thread?

Let's just say my Bad Rats distributor found a few copies that fell out of the back of a truck, comrade. Coincidentally, I had a copy locked in at Amazon for $30 as well due to a pricing error, coupon, THQ credit from about 2 years ago so I was going to get it one way or another. Would have passed that on to another CAG, but I thought no one would be interested due to the cheap Russian copies. Then the Russian copies got region locked after I got mine, but by that time I had cancelled my Amazon pre-order.

Except that you have console sensibilities about what is a good price and that none of us here would even consider buying that game at $15 or $20 since we all know it's going to go cheaper.

Pretty much every non big AAA blockbuster on Steam that hasn't been in a bundle or gone 75% off yet on Steam is going to have higher card prices and less competition to sell them. If you listed them all it would be a very long list.

It's not very CAGly to buy a game at or near full price just to get 50 cents or so more on cards.

*Edited to add: Source that it sold millions of copies on Steam? Because Valve doesn't release their sales data. So unless you have inside information...

I was specifically referencing the Steam version though when I mentioned games that haven't sold a ton or gone on a cheap sale will naturally have higher prices. Then he got his feathers ruffled and did the yellow comic sans thing.

I'm sure it's sold a ton on PSP or whatever but on the Steam market I see no evidence that it has and how much a game sells has a direct effect on what the card prices will go for, which is how all this mess started. Because some console person who really doesn't get the whole Steam cards market though it was hot shit that this one game had cards selling for 80 cents when pretty much every game that's not gone cheap or in a bundle or otherwise sold a ton of copies will have higher prices for cards.

I can't believe this hasn't been mentioned yet, but Gamespot is giving away some exclusive DLC for Aerena, that paid bundle fodder game that went f2p.

Also, Rise of Incarnates Beta

I have no idea. I never got anything for it. All I know is that I voted and reserved a copy and never got anything.

It's not a big deal, it's a giveaway, but that is the first time I've had a problem with WGN.

I'm not sure if it's that weird. As long as the sale consists primarily of Steam games, I don't see a problem posting here if the OP doesn't mind it. A lot of the other sites (Nuuvem, Gamefly, GetGames, etc.) have non-regular sales and daily deals, and are posted by any random CAG who sees it first. Since the Steam and Amazon threads have the most foot traffic among the PC deals threads, posting here would offer the most exposure. Just adding more irregularly updated PC threads to follow seems excessive and wasteful.

Everyone here usually plays that like 30 minutes or a less of a Steam cards game, makes up some excuse to not play the game anymore, idles for the remaining cards, and never plays again....sounds about right eh?.....EH?

I'm actually guilty of this but only on terrible games I just don't enjoy.

Nah, not all of us can be arsed to idle.

Most CAGs however...

For me with the volume of games I get if I don't stay on top of the card drops then I end up with 100 or more remaining drops and it takes forever to get them all so that's why I just idle first and (tell myself I will) play later.

I idle for the cards first, then say I'll play it later (and rarely do).
*raises hand* Guilty.
