It's a good bundle but I suspect most people are holding back for the Dollar Days thing.  I bought it primarily for Nekro and Antisquad was something I had my eye on.  Unfortunately Antisquad sucks due to the developers leaving in the microtransactional grind -- there is no cash shop but you still have to go through the tedious process of replaying levels to earn money to buy upgrades to have a chance at the later levels.  Ruins the game.

Got Miasmata and Cockroach game keys if anyone has some other bundle fodder they want to offer.  Yeah yeah, cesspool thread is that way, blah-di-blah.

Yeah, I'm waiting until next Sunday to decide in case they decide to do the dollar days again

I'd rather not feel screwed by poopees by overpaying again.

Johnny Swallows Return From Capistrano was in the chat a few minutes ago pondering what he should do.  Looks like he lowered the third goal to the current sales total and now awaiting the fourth goal.  He recognized the obvious that people could be waiting for a possible dollar day.

Well what do they expect? I get that it helps when sales of a particular bundle have stagnated, but by doing that they paint themselves into a corner where they then have to do them because a certain segment of people hold off buying expecting the promotions late in the bundle.

It also seriously screws with the whole sell X # of bundles to meet goal Y thing because you've got a bunch of people holding out.

*Edited to add: Mechanic Escape has never been in a bundle as far as I can tell so as far as bonuses go, we could do far worse. I'm looking at you Indie Royale.

*Edit 2: Chuckling at this exchange in the AOL chat room:

What's the NEXT one?

It's another hipster album, don't get too excited.

Next bonus is the crappy looking platformer, Mechanic Escape: http://store.steampowered.com/app/268240/

Also the bonus goals are more reasonable now, only 14,500 require to unlock that one.  He's probably trying to lull people into thinking there is no Dollar Day then sneak it in right at the end.

Seems like there's a fairly simple solution to the dollar days problem: don't do dollar days anymore.

1. Explicitly tell people "we're not going to do dollar days anymore".

2. Run this bundle almost to the end without doing one, then extend it by 24-48 hours and repeat that won't be a dollar day.

3. Let the bundle run to the new end without doing a dollar day.

4. Repeat indefinitely as needed.

Game looks OK. I'm not a huge fan of keep going because something is behind us trying to kill us....looks a bit floaty for the jumping in the videos but i'll earn those cards and crash that barely there card market!!!

I have around thirty or so cards in my inventory and probably another twenty or so un-idled for... not giving GabeN my social security number for like... $2.  Not when I have Bobby to trade me bundle fodder games!

Wait, Bobbert will pay out fundle bodders for crappy cards? Can I get in on this gravy train? I'm still looking for Shadows of...something... I don't even remember the name.

At this point my standards are so low I consider anything that's not a repeat from a previous bundle to be a win. It's not like I actually play my games anyway.

As far cards, Idio and I were talking about this the other night. I feel like they're just too much of a PITA and time consuming for the minuscule amount of money you get for them anymore. I've been idling (fake idling with SAM; HALP CALL GMG) all weekend and I'm still not even near done. So many games have them these days and there's just way more sellers than there are buyers. The market has mostly bottomed out, at least until the next big Steam sale anyway.

That's why I've been saving cards worth below 10 cents for the summer/winter sales hoping they'll increase in value when people start to craft badges more.

For the 50 or so card games I have yet to idle, the high majority is worth only around .30 cent average total and I blame all you plebs.
that's fifteen dollars though...you can buy fifteen more groupees bundles with that...which you can get more cards to idle for through

it's a self sustaining economy

I disagree partially. Unless some exceptions (like foils) normally you will have in income from cards lower than let say 1$ tier bundle, unless those bundles are full of game with cards. The actual one got 2 from 3 games with cards, and exlcluiding the possible bonus, I see a barely margin of self sustaining economy.

Of course this also can be applied to other bundle sites, but groupees is the first coming on the top my head that could benefits for self sustained because the bonus.

I'm agree a lot with Motoki's opinion about the devaluation of cards. My hopes are around next summer sale from steam but they need to bring the same system as before. If they don't stimulate people crafting badges, prices will remain being crap.

If you don't blow your gaben bux on crap sales, it's very easy to never run out of Steam wallet. I think I've only run out once since they started the trading card program and it didn't take long to refill it again. Yeah, the value of cards has gotten less but that doesn't mean it's not self sustaining.

The only issue for me is there's nothing I want to buy with my gaben bux, so I have $56 just sitting there.

I went the other way because the amount of awful games I already have. There should be at least one game I'll consider playing (at least I have to picture myself playing it) or else I'll pass. I know I can miss a surprisingly good game by not giving it a chance, but that's why I watch some gameplay videos and wait until someone CAGs buy the bundle and comment on the games. Also, is not like the bundled games won't be bundled again, cheaper ;)

I pass on every "greenlight" bundle also, because it seems devs are dumber every day with the "key system".

That is another possibility. You pay fifteen dollars for fifteen bundles on groupees. Even being self sustained the system, you have moved 15$ from your bank to groupees which are being exchanged into steam wallet, where you need to spend there that money.

My point was more focused for example on the need of wasting X$ initiallly in bundles rather than on steam. I know it is hard to run out of gaben bucks but I see the cards more like a internal economical stimulation than anything else.

In general people tend to spend money into bundles blindy because 1$ seems like a good lure to bait. Now let put those 15$ we have on steam, unless they are very good deals people will be continue buying bundles ( from their own money) and not spending the gaben bucks first. So I see as having gaben bucks like a big piggy bank. Of course is it nice, nothing wrong with that.

The only way I see a full self sustained system is to buy with Steam wallet games out from steam, so the cycle never ends.

And I'm not a trader but I can only think of trading to do that.

Well, you tend to idle/sell cards right when they are released so you are getting 3-5x the value of cards that most other people do, so it's a lot easier to not run out of Steambux that way. Anyone who misses out on those first few hours ends up getting around .10 cents a card before fees so there is less money there.

Yeah, Spoder and Drabes are on that shit like white on rice. The rest of us, you know, have lives.

It just seems the way, spoder has me beat by miles. I check in the morning when I get up and when I get home from work. So while I may be idling...its typical the same game all day and I don't get to sell my cards until they are dirt cheap.

Same. I've barely bought anything last few Steam sales because the discounts have been awful. I have about $40 in Steam wallet and it's floated around that ever since the whole card thing started.

I'll probably bite on it for Science Girls and Redneck Racers. Hanako seemed open to adding cards as well when it was asked about... so it will probably happen eventually.

Keep it up Groupees!

If Redneck Racers wasn't a $4 game regular price I'd be in for the dollar tier but at that price I might as well wait for a Steam sale and use cards money to get it.

I already FakeCAGed Science Girls.

Oh and on Cards Hanako said:

There's definitely a chance. :)

If enough people are interested we will probably add them later. Right now we're more focused on making sure everything's working smoothly with the game itself.
So if you want them, let her know.

It hasn't been bundled 800 bajillion times and it's not Air Control so even though I've long since FAKECAG'ed it, as far as bonuses go it could be much, much worse. Like Buttcrack Arena or pretty much every Indie Royale bonus ever, for instance.

bubba takes the lead, followed by bubba hot on his heels, with bubba bringing up the rear
you'd think it would be more exciting.

this was posted in the future

Fly'in is the mystery game (Johnny Mochalatte announced it in chat). Sucks. Someone give me bundle fodder for it.
sweet, been waiting for that one, now bring on the dollar days.

Wait... it is? Then that means...

...Is this what it feels like to be right? :D/
Don't worry, I'm getting my time machine ready so I can go back and convince Jonny to add something else as the mystery game.

You'll forget that you were right.
