  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

I heard nothing but good things with Sleeping Dogs but didn't give it a fair shake. I think since I'm done with SR3 and SR4 I'll get around to it. I can tell you I'm willing to double dip depending on price/content. I bought Tomb Raider Defenitive Edition as that was my GOTY choice for 2013.

I believe that leak is most likely true, Square-Enix probably wants to go the safe route and if VGchartz/estimates are correct about 30% of sales of games in their first month that are cross gen still sell on old systems so Watch Dogs on the 360/PS3 was worth it. Granted I don't know how high those numbers will go NEXT fall. I'm curious as to how much Forza Horizon 2 and LBP3 sales will splitt.

It appears that someone mentions that it does cause a problem. If so wouldn't the best workaround be to download the update onto a USB drive and then unplug it when you went to just play vanilla SFIV: AE

 
Thanks for the answers guys, I guess that solidifies me not upgrading.  I'm casual at best, but I wanted to support them and pay for the definitive version, but not at the cost of playing with my friends that I know will not upgrade...

I would probably double dip on Sleeping Dogs long as it included all the DLC. The problem is that there was so much DLC I won't be surprised if they continue to nickel and dime it out on the PS4/X1 version.

That being said, I hope all this post-release cross-gen edition stuff ends soon. I would rather they focus on creating new games that I haven't played.
 
How many GB's is Street Fighter?

That would be the only game I pick up since I have Charlie Murder already.  Hoping for good sales this week.

Only problem with that is that it says on the upgrade that once you purchase it you won't be able to download the game you upgraded from any longer. So either it's not just a simple update or if you ever have to redownload the game that option goes out the window.

 
Grabbed Charlie Murder. Went to download SF4, saw it was over 6.5GB, laughed, and backed out. 30GB of a 250GB hard drive free. My drive space is limited real estate now.

You still initiated the download though, right? Otherwise it's not recorded as yours should you choose to download it later. I just know there are still people who think it's theirs forever just because of the date, and never went to actually download it and cancel it after so the "transaction" processes.

I dunno - Microsoft seem to have some half way organized plans for their sales now, and it'd do them a LOT of good to get out ahead of the Steam sale if they can get the publishers to go along with it. They rarely have better pricing but if they get their sale up first, they will still sell more than if they do it the same time as Steam.

 
I wasn't referring to the summer of arcade, which I thought was a fun thing. I was talking about the summer ultimate game sale which usually hits in July.

MS had a Back to School sale in August but I don't recall when that was or if it's ongoing. I expect things to change on the 360 marketplace now that MS is focusing on the Xbone. Whether that's clearancing games/dlc out or even ignoring that group(which I think is what is happening right now honestly), only time will tell

I don't think he was crapping on the name per se, just the fact that a mutant boss had a normal name. It could have been Zoltar or something crazy if you got a yin yang symbol in your chest

Pretty weird, but Capcom named it Seth as a homage to Seth Killian, a legend and prominent figure in the FGC who participated in the process of making the game.

Fun fact he was named Seth after Seth Killian, the former senior manager of community (aka community manager) at Capcom.

Original name was Cain which I can definitely see making more sense... lol

What fighting games do you like?

Aparently you've never really played street fighter. However, there is marvel if you want something fast-paced.

 
If you like SF4 and don't want the crazy long combos of Marvel, then SFxT might be for you. Some characters (Tekken cough cough) have ridiculously long combos that get annoying (especially because they are so easy for anybody to do), but the SF characters are fun.

I haven't tried Ultra Seth in arcade mode yet. I think he got nerfed. He was really easy in AE. I don't remember Super. In Vanilla he was a beast. If you are having trouble beating him, try lowering the difficulty and find a character you like. I'd avoid playing much ranked until you have a character that can at least beat arcade mode on hardest.

Ironically, Seth was actually the third son of Adam, along with brothers Cain and Abel. Droppin' Bible knowledge...BOOM!
