Yes, but the above is a bit redundant, no?

What I like about that Resogun DLC is it adds new game modes. That means I can take full advantage without having to wait until I've completed the game. And the season pass will add even more game modes and is only $8? Sign me up!

He was rude but I agree with the sentiment. You've made it perfectly clear how important trophies are to you. Doesn't invalidate your opinions but I certainly weigh them differently against others who share my interests. Everyone has a list of what's important. Trophies happen to be at the very bottom of mine (and presumably his).

I finally finished ACIV last week and had a few campaign trophies glitch on me. Only way to get them is by starting a new save and...welllll, no. Annoying, sure, but it had no bearing on my enjoyment (or lack thereof). People here tend to believe trophies add some sort of intrinsic value and I just do not agree. Now, I don't know what your reasons are for disliking Beyond, but are you really surprised someone thought it was exclusively because of trophies? And if it is, more power to you. Can't expect everyone to see it the same. It may have been more productive to engage him rather than posting about it in a thread where the consensus is already known.

Don't worry, when you're banned you get to CAG and it tells you that you're not allowed to go there.

ive played for around 10ish hours. Spent a ton of time getting one of each type of unit to level 20, so I could level people up for the skirmishs. I'm really not digging the strategy parts 9of this game, does witch and the hundred knights have those too, or is it just the action rpg part (like muramasa)?

The summer sale graphic says you also get 5x Sony Rewards points store wide during the length of the sale. So what's that translate into? Say, if I buy the Resogun Season Pass for $7.99, do I get enough points for a free copy of The Last of Us Remastered?

I checked my fun balance and plenty for the Resogun season pass. Bought! Now will wait to receive my free copy of The Last of Us Remastered.

I'm curious how this season pass thing works. Gave option to download the season pass, but not to download Heroes. Hmm.

So does anyone know if Valiant Hearts goes up today? It says its not for sale until tomorrow but PSN updates today and on my PS4 you can click buy now but it takes you to a dead page. Either it's not going up today or the store isn't done updating, i guess.

Looking forward to playing it though.

Terraria has boss fights and all that. It's a bit cryptic in how it all works so you either need to explore and discover or you look it up. Tyler likes that, except when it's Spelunky, then he hates it. I am not sure if it has an end or not. Tyler can tell you all about it.

Or are we good for only casting aspersions on people who have an opinion contrary to our own? And as far as I can tell he didn't make some sweeping claim that "trofiez suck". It is absolutely fair to consider why people enjoy the games they do. The guy didn't have to be dismissive about it, though. Should have simply asked @vigilante to expand or kept it to himself.

Not sure if you're joking but you didn't sound pathetic at all. Not what I'm saying. You have every right to like games for "the trophies" just as others can elect to ignore them. But for those unacquainted with your "diehard" approach, I think a disclaimer was fair game. He was just being a dick about it.

 
I'm helpless today.. to get the Zen tables on Ps3 and PS4, you need to buy the PS3 version, right? Then use the import table feature? Pretty sure that's how it worked before but the current description for the Deadpool table says "Purchasing this content entitles you to both the PS3™ and PS Vita versions!"

I thought the fact that they disagreed was obvious and absolutely fine. But "engaging" him more than likely would've started an argument. Not everyone likes that crap. What's wrong with just letting it be?

 
I think I ultimately consider trophies 'part of the game'.   It's the '100% completion' mark, and it lets me feel like I 'beat' the game.   However, this means that I think trophy design and implementation is important, and bad design can ruin an otherwise great game. 

Getting that plat should be a solid balance between fun and challenge.  It shouldn't be so easy that anyone can get it, and it's fine to require you to 'master' the game mechanics, but avoiding mindless grind time is a must. 

And of course online online trophies are terrible whereas collection trophies are only terrible 90% of the time.   Searching out hundreds of pigeons does not add to anyone's enjoyment of the game, whereas, say, finding 20 ramps to jump is reasonable.  Also, providing in game rewards for completion is nice, as is only requiring you to find, say, 75% of a given thing.  In game purchase of some sort of minimap item finder is also nice/important.

I don't mind really difficult skill trophies... I'd rather be trying to successfully complete a hard level/mission without dying than repetitiously hoping some rare item will spawn.

Basically, i think a good handful of trophies should be behind a 'hey, have fun, try this' wall, another handful should be behind a 'can you do this hard thing?' wall... and none should ever be behind a 'do this stupid ass thing for 10 hours' wall.

Oh, and 'missable' trophies should die too.

I really need to finish Wolfenstein. It's really good and perfect for me since it's SP only, which got me to thinking...
