It usually doesn't, but since they revealed characters I guess they made more than one pic of the day.

Interesting, so a clone with a minor difference at least. I'm all for this as long as it doesn't happen too often/take away other more unique characters that could be in.

Inb4 Indignate....wtf Thor's gonna be a woman? I think this makes me more upset than female Link, this isn't just a Marvel character here this is like disregarding all Norse mythology on top of changing a classic well regarded character. And you know, they still have MOVIES, nah let's not just make a comic focusing more on Sif or some new Asgardian/Norse god/character, let's just change THOR the GOD(not ess) of thunder, that's genius.

 
Marvel Thor is entirely Thor because of his Hammer. It makes sense that someone else could pick it up and attain the powers of Thor, so this isn't weird and people should quit being fucking idiots about it. They did the same thing in the 80's with Beta Ray Bill and he's one of the best stand in characters of all time. The amount of bitching I have seen about female Thor already today is insane considering it's going to be a 1-4 year thing at the most. Also, this is all just so they can have a new Avengers team led by the three stand in characters (New Captain America, lady Thor and Arno Stark) in a year.

The hammer says he on it >.<

I know that it's the hammer that gives him his power, but I don't know why they have to keep changing the bigger characters like this. And even though it's because it's Marvelverse it still feels wrong due to actual mythology since that is something I have always personally been interested in and know a fair amount about. I will agree that Beta Ray Bill is awesome though.

Because it was made in ancient times!

Because they make money from it. Every time they change a character it boosts sales by at least 10%. Same reason they keep relaunching books with number 1s.

True, but that's also because ancient times makes it fit in with Norse mythology again!

Yeah, I'll keep an eye out on sales numbers and such from this happening, I will say that the design of the character herself is not bad and she does look pretty cool. It's just feels like such an odd choice that they chose Thor specifically.

 
If anybody here has Mario Golf on 3DS or is going to get it during that B1G1 let me know since I guess it has online and that could be fun to play. Gonna order one when they go on sale next week.

I think it's stupid that they announced it on the view. Makes it seem more like the gimmick that it is then it should.

Don't say this is offensive to Norse mythology when they took Norse mythology and turned it into a fuckin SUPERHERO COMIC BOOK.

 
Y'know, pretty much no dust was kicked up whenever they revealed that Tony Stark was adopted last year and that his parents dumped off the real kid and he's been living alone in an iron lung pretty much all his life. They should have just revealed that Tony was a woman the whole time.

 
so I'm confused is male thor now a female or did male thor just lose his powers and now a female has his hammer or is this some shitty reboot with thor as just a female now?

The two Weird Al songs so far are great, keep them coming.

 I will now comment on female thor, I like that they are changing up things. I'm just saying I look at the comic book character and the Norse god as two separate people/things. I do agree it shouldn't have been shown on the view (well at least Whoopi was there). This picture is pretty awesome though.
