  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

I really dislike the way Xbox One handles trial games within their system. I have several games that are downloaded trials and it is very difficult to tell whether they are trials or full games. Their who layout for downloaded items is needlessly confusing (much like the layout of some other areas of the system). I'm hoping current and future updates will make their system a little more transparent and easier to navigate.

MP3 takes up an entire 250gig hard drive, or something close to that. Thing is insane. Seriously, I think it was somewhere around 25 gigs.

I swear, I die a little inside every Tuesday morning. That monkey, and his damn CoD/Rockstar button...Every other week...I can't take it anymore. We have to break the cycle, Groundhog Day style. He must be destroyed.

Man, I remember Rockstar Table Tennis blowing my mind when it first came out. My friend and I would play that all day. Might just get it for nostalgia purposes.

Fair enough. NewEgg's been running a lot more "newsletter subscribers only" promos as of late, which I'm going to guess this sale had been one of. It's worth it to join NewEgg and subscribe to the newsletters to get in on their game deals anyway. Their Black Friday deals tend to be decent as well.
 
Call of Duty Ghosts Season Pass on sale again - just over 30 days ago

Bully, LA Noire, Max Payne 3, Red Dead, Midnight Club games again, aka Rockstar - 8 weeks ago

Since MS is hitting us with their CoD and Rockstar combos in one week, I expect next week to be a one-two punch of Bioshock and Batman Arkham games. Perhaps Fable games as a substitute. Battlefield games won't happen(I think) as that was just two weeks ago. Just another week of saving money.........I take it back. I did buy the Spinal Tap songs since that uber-cool CAG discovered those packs on sale for ONE DOLLAR EACH. Fourteen songs for $2?!?! Yes, I shall buy those

I've been thinking about picking up GTA V from the sale, but I've heard a few times that the G.o.D. version is buggy. Any word on if this has been fixed? Would I be better off just picking up a physical copy?

Having done a bit of research on 2015 while they were downloading, it seems everyone is butthurt about it having a pay wall for the premium cards along with the omission of 2hg.

I fired up 2014, had a quick game so it registered that I had it so I could get a free booster pack, sorted out 2 decks for the sealed campaign then set to work on 2015.

I have to say I am really liking it and when I got to open my booster pack I got 1 of the 2 locked mythic rares which am pretty happy about along with a few other decent cards.

Long story short, if you like magic, this should be a no brainer, though I would definitely do research before buying.

This is why I blew off a bunch of Games on Demand titles, my 250gb is full and I have two 32gb flash drives to supplement that (both empty right now), but they won't go too far (especially for bigger games). I actually skipped many games on sale because of storage, you'd think Microsoft would have understood that problem a long time ago. I wouldn't mind having a 500 in my 360 like I do in my PS3.

Played the ps3 complete edition and while it adds more cases (maybe the pass includes an extra outfit and machine gun in your trunk as well?) I could've done without. Only if you really love the game and just want more stuff to do. Honestly if you waited this long and the main game isn't $5, I wouldn't.

I thought the game was promising but kinda takes a nosedive in the end.

Do you guys ever backup the hard drive to your computer? I mean it takes too long to do for every new item but I use a USB for recent save files or dlc and back up fully every now and then when I've downloaded new content.

Gives me peace of mind. Not as convenient as just having a bigger hard drive tho

I remember re-downloading some games that I purchased and deleted about 2 years ago. Is this not possible now? If it is then I would say just delete some games that you don't intend to play, purchase the games that are on sale when they are on sale and keep a rotation.
 
Is Diablo 3 worth $60? I had it on PC beat it up to hardcore when it came out. Haven't touched it since. It looks really good on consoles tho. Only thing is I wouldn't play it right now, I'm still trying to 1000G Wolfenstein and Crimson Dragon.

How soon do you think this will go on sale?

Controls are supposed to be way better on console. Plus there is more content if you haven't played the new content on PC.

The PS3 version of the base game was great. It was like those Dark Alliance/Champions of Norrath wrapped in Diablo 3. They did a really good job translating the game to the console.

As far as digital sale I could see one around Thanksgiving or Christmas.

I bit on it for the Xbox One. Saved $10 with a Gamestop "save $10 on any item" coupon. Totally better than the vanilla version, and importing my Xbox 360 save was a breeze. My only complaint so far is that my item stash isn't nearly large enough to store all of the loot I have. I don't feel an ounce of regret at buying it release day.

Are you on the 1409 preview program? One of the "known issues" is apps/games crashing at startup. They say they're working on a fix, and a hard reboot seems to be the workaround for now.
