What external hard drive do you have? I was planning on maybe purchasing a 4TB drive would make the most sense but not sure which one to get that is compatible with the xbox one
I have the Seagate Backup Plus Slim 2TB. I originally bought it to upgrade my PS4 with. The drive in the case is a Samsung Spinpoint 9.5mm height laptop drive. But for your case, any USB 3.0 external drive will work - it just depends on what size and speed you want.

I havent had issues with seagate in the past but I assume one that has a wall adapter is necessary..I want something with good speed obviously..what is required 7200rpm? is that what you have..and do your games load quickly?

Sell the Unity code, that's what I did with the Madden bundle a few weeks back. Use the money to buy Sunset Overdrive if you can't find the SO bundle near you.
I suppose I could sell them both, seeing as I already have AC4 Black Flag on my PS4. Not sure if I can get much for Black Flag, though. At that point, though, I'm better off waiting for Black Friday. Might get bundled with another game I want, like Forza Horizon 2. The $50 off promo will still go on then, as well.

The Xbox One supports bus-powered drives like the one I have. It's a 5400RPM drive, which is the same rotational speed as the One's internal drive. It's slightly faster than the internal drive, which I'd attribute to platter density. Plenty of quicker external drives out there to choose from though.

I think it's because the internal runs over SATA II, which is slower than USB 3.0.

Just got my email from Microsoft for pre-ordering the Sunset Overdrive bundle, too. Nice! While on the subject, to any of you who pre-ordered from MS, did you get your controller stand?
What's this controller stand you're referring to?

*edit*

I see it. Didn't even notice it when I preordered. Does it ship separately?

Gamestop has already started the holiday return policy right? I'm thinking I'll buy the assassins creed bundle and hold onto it at least until I see the leak of the black Friday ads

Why is everyone saying the white SO Bundle is so limited? Walmart, best buy, and gamestop all appear to have it in stock online (and near me everyone has it instore by the finder)

Personally, I think it will be restocked. Really, the only retailers that are out of stock right now are Amazon and Microsoft Store online. BB has it in stock in most stores and online and Gamestop has it online and in most stores. Walmart has it online and in some stores and Microsoft has it available in stores. I don't think Target carried it online or in stores at all. That's actually pretty good availability compared to most LE console bundles.
I hope you are correct. I really want to play Sunset Overdrive. First game on XBONE/PS4 I REALLY want to play. Then they announce the price drop and I think the white console looks great. Sold! Only they are out of stock on Amazon, where I would prefer to purchase. If it gets a restock, I will have to jump in.

The guy at Best Buy told me that the Sunset Overdrive/white bundle WOULD be restocked "through the holidays". That said, he works for BB, take it with a grain of salt... I wish Microsoft would be a bit more transparent although I understand they want the hype machine to work for them for once.

That said, it's working.. at least that's what the white Sunset Overdrive bundle sitting waiting to be unpacked is telling me. ;)

People are asking if it is or speculating, while it might be available for you at your local major outlets It isn't for me. I wouldn't get it until next week if I ordered it online and had it delivered to the store.

Yeah I would have no idea why they would keep limited stock of an item that would sell when right now all MS needs is more sales.

Hmmh, I'm a little slow. I just realized that the Unity bundle is pegged for a release date of 11/2, 9 days before the official game release. This could give the DL code more of a resale market, for impatient fans of the series who already have their consoles.

You can preload the game, but it is not playable until the street date is my understanding.

It shouldn't help anything, you still can't play it early you just get to preload it in advance which you can already do if you preorder on the Xbox One store.

Wow this devolved into a juvenile pissing match. Do people actually care if others think of them as a "true gamer"? I really doubt most people here care although aparently it's a status symbol to some and we've got the man who will judge if you are a true gamer or a poser right here in this thread.
.....Wut.

I bought a Sunset Overdrive bundle at Best Buy today. At first, they said they only had consoles left to fulfill preorders. Then the associate was told that a truck was being unloaded right at that moment and it had more bundles. One of the warehouse guys delivered it to the front and told us he took it from the truck himself. It is literally the most pristine condition console box I have ever seen. I mean, it must have come from the center of the pallet...not a single mark on it.

Anyway, thought I would share the info. Best Buy is getting restocks of the sunset Overdrive bundle.

Where was this?

This thread is extremely confusing, if I go grab a SSO bundle tomorrow from Best Buy will they price match it come sunday and give me the $50 difference?

Yes they will. Just save the receipt for good measure.

You can also open and use the system ahead of time since worse case situation Best Buy offers open box returns.

Yes, unless you use the movers 10% coupon on the order too. If you plan to use the coupon you can't pick it up until the price changes go live.

Huh? What's this loophole? I can order for store pickup now on my Discover card for 10% back and use the movers coupon for another 10%, and as long as I don't pick it up before the deal is live, they will auto adjust the price down and still apply the coupon?

I've seen that policy that you get the lower price if it is live when you pick up an order, but didn't think it would help with the coupon.

If anything it'd be disappointing and dumb if people who bought a specific console bundle got access to the game 9 days before anybody else.....
Not really, I mean, rewarding them for the purchase would fly in the face of the minor disappointment early adopters normally have to sit through. Shoot, CoD is giving early access to pre-orders by a day.

you can't use the coupon and then price match afterwards. you need to wait until the price drop happens and then use the coupon to get the lowest price.

but he mentioned the policy they have where if the price drops on your In Store Pickup order before you arrive in the store to get it, they adjust the price of the order down automatically.

How does that work with the movies coupon? If I order on Discover for 10% back, use the movers coupon for 10% off, and then don't pick up the SSO order until Nov. 2, will they apple the coupon and the new price still?

That's rewarding people for buying early. Not rewarding them via an exclusive $300 extra cost to the customer.

I feel obligated to respond since you quoted me, but I don't know the answer when it comes to in-store pickup of a web order. My prediction is that they would cancel the order while you are there to pick it up and then they would start a completely new transaction with all the discounts. They would need to start with a base price of $349.

It basically comes down to this: they will not do an adjustment of the price if you use a coupon. They have to start with a base price before applying coupons.

Got my SSO bundle today. Looks nice next to the Destiny PS4. Ignore the Black Wii U :p

Yeah it's pretty damn sexy. Just looks out of place with my black ps4, black charging cradle, for ps4 controllers, black asus montitor, and black logitech speakers. I hope it doesn't scratch as easily as the glossy part on my ps4.

This is what I'm bound to assume. I mean, if none of us who pre-ordered received it, I guess it's shipping separately. The shipping job on the actual console was crap on mine. Not sure if anyone else got theirs as I did mine, but my system box's corners pretty much all have some denting/wear on them from just being put into a snug-fit box with no wrapping/protection of any sort.

Also, just to throw it out there, MS has to have some of the worst customer service people I've ever dealt with. I normally don't get too upset when dealing with lackluster CS reps, but, man, I'd be lying if I said the people I had to deal with didn't annoy the piss out of me. The fact that I had to explain what a controller stand was (should seem pretty self-evident) as opposed to an actual controller, and the amount of time wasted just trying to get myself "verified" through a game of 20-questions is enough to make the experience terrible. Then, the best part, is that it takes them more than a day to follow-up. Really? This isn't something that can simply be pulled up on the computer in a matter of seconds? People aren't kidding when they rave about Amazon's CS, since MS is the prime example of what typical CS really is: crap.

Reading through the MC thread it seemed a lot of people had trouble using them on consoles.

Are we sure the coupon will work on the Sunset Overdrive bundle?

If so I am going to hunt for one this week and go pick one up sunday (even though i already have an xbox one)

Lol I think just because it was sold out before release. The same exact thing happened with the Destiny PS4 bundle and it was in stock everywhere once it actually released. Why anyone thinks a system is going to be so limited that it sells every unit before or immediately after release is beyond me. I dont expect it to last too long since they have so many bundles going but I wouldnt be surprised if they planned to have enough through the holidays.

Has there always been bundled console sales on BF? I have never been in the market for a console on black friday that I cannot recall if retailer put their own bundles together. Also, what are the chances that an already bundled Xbox One will be included? It seems more likely to me that retailers would be trying to get rid of vanilla units by sprucing them up with extras.
Yes, sorta.

The 360 always had their holiday bundles that would be available for quite a bit and its always a digi code or 2 ontop of the current price of the console and then on BF you might see a pricecut or a 50 dollar gift card. (How my store normally does it) This is the first time ive seen the temporary price cut happen officially across all stores with 3 possible bundles. I know Titanfall was 450 but i think it was just for a week or 2.

Ps3 almost never had a bundle out there normally but by this time they would have their 2 games packed in for black friday up to December or whenever your store chain has gotttn through their supply. Then thwy release a bundle with a crappy hdd for a really low price 2 bf's ago i believe.

Movers coupon worked for me on the SSO bundle.
Okay, I guess I need to track one down then and wait for sunday.

I was gonna go today and then go price adjust, but another 35 bucks is another 36 bucks and i dont wanna deal with the possibility of them giving me hassle with the coupon.

It's possible that the price will adjust down to $350 automatically but it will certainly not adjust the mover's coupon you used online on top of the $350.

I'm skeptical that the price adjustment will occur automatically. I know it has in the past but when I had an order a couple of months back, my software game order did not adjust and I ended up paying the original amount. If you wait until the price goes live with your exisitng order, I would bet on getting charged the original amount you placed your order for.

Only way to assuredly get all of your discounts is to place a brand new order once the price goes live.
