There is absolutely no chance of this. They might give us an extra dlc or something, but if they gave out the entire game for free there would be blood in the streets. Don't get your, or others, hopes up. Not happening.

I don't really think they would give it to us for free. I was making a joke regarding the issues that have plagued the game, I definitely won't be buying Drive Club and wont play it until the PS+ version is out there. I've never had much interest in the game, I am a lot more into Forza Horizon 2 personally.

The people who have bought the game are already angry enough that it doesn't work properly and is apparently lackluster when it comes to selection of cars available as well. The weather effects however look awesome.

 
if you are a straight up pure racing guy then driveclub is probably your jam.  its very unforgiving and you will spend a lot of time going from 1st to 3d near the end of a race.  there is also not a lot of polish, you pretty much just get dumped into races and there isn't really any glue in between segments.  which some people will love of course, they don't want any extra crap in between their driving.

I much, much prefer the forza style of games.  I got F5 and FH2 over the deals the last few weeks and been playing a lot of them, I like both although after 20 hours in each you'd probably just want to stick to FH2.  I love all the polish of the Forza games, from the Top gear guys narrating stuff to the (admittedly dumb) European-Fast-and-Furious vibe of the storyline in FH2.  I also just can't imagine going back to a SP driving game without rewind, fucking love that shit since I'm such a bad driver.  

The only brutal downside to the Forza games is the nickel and diming they slyly put in via buying car packs and VIP shit, since I don't really care whether I own every car it doesn't bother me.   I also love how you can share car skins online, I have downloaded some pretty awesome car skins like the hello kitty mobile and the Simpson one.   The cars and skins in Driveclub are ugly.

I absolutely agree with this. I love the Forza games. Forza 5, Forza Horizon 2 and the Master Chief Collection are just about the only games that could tempt me to purchase a XBOne.

A couple of my online buddies swear by Driveclub, so I'll definitely be picking it up eventually. None are 'angry' -- online is now fixed for them and has been for awhile, and single player always worked.

I don't care about FH2, it's not on a system I own or will ever own.

 
I also think Sony raised the number of portable devices connected to one PSN account to three.  It's not written anywhere that I can find, but I was able to connect 3 vitas to my PSN account.

I'm not really into the more simulation style driving games. Which is why I enjoy FH2, I just want to drive around and have fun. I don't want realistic physics and a bunch of customization options to tune my car up. I have never been into the core Forza series, GT, etc. because I find those games to be frustrating and I don't enjoy playing them. I'll stick with Horizon and cross my fingers for a sequel to Split/Second and a new Burnout game.

It's been a while since the last relicensing update, just over 4 months since the last update at the end of July, but we'll be saying farewell to a few more tracks in the RB DLC library at the end of December.

As has been the case with all previous relicensing updates, if you already own these tracks then nothing should change for you. The OP in this thread has some additional info, but the short version is that these songs are coming down from the store, not your personal set list, and the only people affected by this announcement are the people that haven't purchased these tracks in the 5 years that they've been available. Here is a list of the affected tracks:

• Dinosaur Jr. – Pick Me Up
• Dinosaur Jr. – The Wagon
• Electric Six Pack 01
• Electric Six – Dance Epidemic
• Electric Six – Gay Bar
• Electric Six – I Don’t Like You
• Joan Jett & The Blackhearts – Fake Friends
• Just Kait – U Suck
• Lights Resolve – Dreaming of Love
• Morningwood – Best Of Me
• Morningwood – Sugarbaby

These tracks are scheduled to come down from stores on December 23rd. We don't control when 1st party updates their stores, so you may see content come down a little earlier or a little later. Store updates during the holiday are occasionally wonky, so if you're looking to pick up these tracks before they are pulled then you're probably better off not waiting until the last minute.

Shoot me a DM or mention me in a thread if you have any questions or concerns and I can edit this thread as needed.

* The track "Dreaming of Love" by Lights Resolve is a free song. The RB3 achievement / trophy Live Free or Die awards 25 G when you "Beat all of the free downloadable songs for Rock Band". Unfortunately that means that this achievement will no longer be attainable if you do not download "Dreaming of Love" before it is removed from the store on December 23rd. The same thing happened with "Promised Land" by Vesuvius, another free track pulled last year, so you will need to have that song in your library as well. If you didn't download "Promised Land" before it was pulled then you won't be able to get the achievement even if you do download "Dreaming of Love". If you do have "Promised Land" and if you do download "Dreaming of Love", you don't need to earn the achievement before 12/23, you just need to have it in your library by that time and then you'll be able to try for the achievement at your convenience.

Yeah, I prefer arcade racers too - Burnout, NFS, Split/Second, Blur, Motorstorm, etc. But from my understanding Driveclub rides the middle between sim and arcade, and damn it's beautiful, so I'll give it a swing. I mean, it comes from Evo, who do Motorstorm. It's a shame they got hit by such awful launch issues that put a stigma on the game, but at least it eventually became solid, unlike some launch disasters.

I mean, people barely complain about the glitchy muggy messes games like Fallout 3 and The Walking Dead (anything Telltale, really) are. It gets mentioned right alongside 10/10 scores. Driveclub got wrecked. So did Assassin's Creed. I don't totally understand why some games get a pass, and others don't. I have no interest in the AC franchise before, but it's not like that's the first time I've seen missing textures in a game.

Any thoughts on Blue Estate? Generally speaking I enjoy quicktime events which from what I understand are a part of the game.  Does it just feel like a rail shooter that you are playing with a controller instead of a light gun or does it play more like an on the rails fps?

So Entwined looks beautiful and like it would play decent enough but the reviews are... not that good looking.  Skimming them is it one of those things where it's either you get it or you don't because it's not really a game game sort of thing?

It's a game and there's no way you could argue that it's not. I completely got what it was doing and enjoyed it for that, but there just isn't much else to it. The main mode only has about ten levels and the challenge mode is a decent time waster and test of your handle on its dual-stick controls, but that's it. I don't think it's easy to recommend that game when it's barebones like that.

Anybody know if $9.99 is Aquapazza's new regular price?  It was on sale last week, and it never went back up.  I'm debating spending my $10 credit on this game or on Afterburner since Sega will be pulling Afterburner soon.

 
Any feedback on that Might&Magic Card game? If it was on Vita or PS4 I'd buy it in a second, but I don't know if I'd ever play it on ps3 .... but I still want it. Anyone have it?

It's a rail shooter. I loved the demo -- it was actually pretty long and iirc you sort of go around a large restaurant shooting up baddies. It was really fun, and controlled extremely well given the fact I don't have a camera so it was just using the gyros/etc in the ds4.

I picked it up in this sale in a heartbeat.

RE: Entwined

The cool thing about that game is that Sony hired a bunch of promising kids straight out of college and that was their first project. Pretty cool, all in all. Haven't played the game yet though.

I was looking into it earlier and the reviews say it's decent and samples from the other notable CCGs out there right now. Sounds like it's hampered by balance issues and micro transactions though. Still looks neat so maybe I'll take a chance on it.

I want to play Alien Isolation, I really do but I don't think I can.  It's going to take me eight months to play this 5 minutes at a time.  The plat's definitely out of the question.

I haven't even gotten close to any Aliens I don't think and I can barely play five minutes. The atmosphere is outstanding and it's not helping matters. The game starts in a
space station
and it's so creepy and reminds me of Dead Space in how it's setting things up. Been trying to play it all day and I think I might be 60-90 minutes in. Probably less progress compared to most people since I'm literally inching along.

Haha, that's the main game I'm on right now. That game I'm going to get the plat for it, started on Hard straight out the box. I'm inching along also because I don't have a choice
fuckers lurking in the vents
. I love horror games but they don't scare or really startle me. TBH this game does. Alien Iso is legit, it really has me on the edge of my seat. Enjoying it and so far the best game I picked up on BF.

For me it's that I get way too tense even when nothing's happening and it makes it that much more unbearable. I got it on BF naturally and wanted to play it and send it off but man this isn't going to happen in a few days time before the Amazon trade expires. I'm trying to decide if I should send it off today for the $30 I have locked and make a few bucks off it and pick it up again when it's around $20 since the TIV has just been plummeting.
