Whoop! Just preordered 2 ^.^. Now I have preorders with SE and Amazon.. Just need to decide if there will be any exclusives with the SE store

My bad, just confirmed that they haven't announced the limited slipcase/art for the NA region, false alarm everyone, go back to "work" :)

Here's what they said on the EU edition -

Sorry, this is off-topic, but does anyone know where to go on Best Buy's site to see the spend progress towards Elite status for the year?   The comment on wishing Best Buy would carry the Type-0 CE got me wondering whether I'm in line to keep my Elite.

 
Placed one at the SE store, and Amazon. 

Going to cancel my SE store one, keep the Amazon one, and pray that BB gets it.

 
Well I'm hoping for a store pickup option if Best Buy does get FF Type-0 CE. Though seems unlikely if even Gamestop doesn't even do in-store pickup for buying it on their site. A little speechless that Gamestop is asking for $10 more.

Art book, steelbook, manga, and soundtrack isn't worth an additional $40? I seriously wonder how some of you price these things. The manga itself is probably a $20 value if it was sold seperately.

I should clarify. It's not a $100 value to me. I could care less about a manga, I actually prefer regular cases to steelbook, and the art book and soundtrack don't seem to make up the difference for a game that will probably be part of a Gamefly sale for $15 in less than six months after release.

I would rather ship it to my house if I have the option. Some of my local Best Buy stores slap bignasty stickers on things shipped to the store.

The stickers come off easy without residue if they use the correct in store pickup sticker. Now the sticker they threw on my xbox one....

Excuse me for the stupid question, but since it appears we're no longer updating the main OP can someone catch me up on what CE's we've been discussing the past 100 or so posts? I have my settings to a 100 posts per page and I've skimmed a lot of the posts but I don't see anything highlighting the most recent announcements.

The only thing I'm aware of are the NIS releases and I'm skipping those because the last few I've bought from them have arrived in bad condition and they tend to skimp on goodies.

The most recent one is the FF Type-0 Collectors edition which comes with the steelbook, manga, art book, soundtrack, and a couple of cards. You also missed out on the Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix Collector's edition which came with the Heartless plushie, steelbook, artbook, and pin.

Other than that I would say there are a handful of NISA releases as always. Nothing really comes to mind in terms of really rare CEs other than the Batman one which was awhile back and sold out relatively quickly.

The final fantasy type-0 one is what I was talking about. It's $100 and so far being sold through Amazon, GameStop, and squares store.

Out of those I'm only familiar with the Songbird Edition and Tomb Raider, those both came with statues (I think). I'm a sucker for statues and SB cases and trinkets sometimes, not so much for art books (except for the God of War 3 art book, hubba hubba).

 
Interesting.  There is a blurb on Square-Enix's website about orders of $100 or more getting $10 off shipping.  Since the Type 0 CE is $99.99 does that mean it doesn't qualify (it doesn't look like it does)?  Anyone able to swing free shipping with this order?  Or do pre-orders not count?

It doesn't qualify. They could easily list it for one penny more, but they don't want to take the hit on shipping.

People in the past have added a very cheap item to get it over, but typically both items have to be in stock at the same time for them to ship them both, so that could delay your order by weeks or months if the extra item happens to be sold out.

I emailed pepita store today to cancel my order after I placed one on amazon.  I got an email later in the day saying it was done with a confirmation.  Pretty easy.  No reason for a phone call or anything like that.  

 
Add me to the people who want Type-0 CE to come to BB. I wouldn't even hesitate getting it. I want it badly but only will get it If I can get it with GCU

^ Thanks you two for responding. I did get the Kingdom Hearts 2.5CE.

Since danganronpa (sp?) 2 I have been passing on NIS releases. Just don't appeal to me anymore and they haven't been doing a good job shipping them.

With Danganronpa and Danganronpa 2 the shipping wasn't great but seems like it improved after that. Ar no Surge, Fairy Fencer F, and Natural Doctrine all arrived in flawless condition for me.
