Ive wondered this too. Haven't been able to check .de but Italy is the cheapest right now it seams. They're listed at only 12.50 EUR but when adding two to cart they drop to only 10.50 EUR each and end up about $19 USD each after shipping. Amazon France seems to be a few dollars more.

At at least for villager anyways, it's the only one I need.

Went to bestbuy today saw 3 falcons but wont let me buy them till the 31st, thou one guy said the 20th so i guess im going to bestbuy both days at opening.

Anyone who thinks Nintendo won't release all new figures for Marth and Ike in that situation is delirious. Why re-release old figures when they can release new ones? That way everyone who owns Marth and Ike will buy ghem again.

Remember that the series on the shelves right now is the "Super Smash Bros." Series. Subsequent game releases will probably have their own series. It's unlikely Nintendo will re-release Smash Amiibos for a different game.
 
Just curious, but has anyone had problems with BB GCU not working on Amiibos? I don't have it, but I saw a few people on reddit the past couple days reporting that it hasn't been working on Amiibos, including one employee stating it does not work for Amiibos.

Shipping for me in GA shows 13.42 from FR or 14.62 from IT for 2 figures...prices don't change much for 1-3 figures. Italy ends up being cheaper by $8 for 2 figures. I might wait and see if the DE Amazon gets some in stock.

Nope, never had an issue. Even just tried it on the website and was fine.

By all means, feel free to enjoy them you see fit. It drive me more crazy when people tell me not to use something because of its value other than what it was intended for.

I bought a 20th anniversary PS4 because I wanted to use it and play with it. That said, a thousand dollar profit for selling it would mean a little extra for my 2 daughters in the long run so I put it on eBay.

I just don't understand the collectors mentality of keeping things in the box. If you want to say you have it fine, but I don't see a point of not using it.

I guess owning 2 of something mitigates that problem.

I love Chrono Trigger more than any game ever and I'd like to own a sealed copy. However going back 20 years I'd never tell myself not to open and play with the original game.

Oh I opened the outer shipping box, but I didn't touch the console.

Like I said, I have 2 and a half year old and a 7 month old. The profit for selling it is going right into their college funds.

And for you people who inevitably say some shit like "Nintendo 'intended' you to use it however you want", just remember, they were the ones who put that magnetic sticker thingy under the Amiibos to keep you from using them through the box. Ergo, "for intended use", you must remove them from the packaging before use

I was on bestbuy last night. Bought some commons I needed with my gcu. They said it just didn't work on some registers for some reason. Sure enough they walked to a different one and it worked. No reason why, but if it doesn't work in store, just have them try on a different terminal.
 
Speaking of Best Buy, for wave 3 it says the release date is 12/31. Do you think BB will charge our cards on 12/31 and ship when the actually get released, or change the release date to the proper one and charge our cards then?

Well the date they have is 12/31/15 so they can ship me mine in Feb. and charge me 10 months later if they'd like I guess ;)

 
Ugh, my German amiibos are stuck in customs. France should ship soon. So heads up to my cags who messaged me about the extras. Hopefully they all go through.

Yeah they are all dated Dec. 2015. Screwed me out of a chance to pre-order Metaknight because they refused to take my credit card that expires in April -_- Not long after he went out-of-stock for pre-order. But eh, I'll get him in-store. It should be fine. With the exception of GameStop (who will throw all kinds of pre-order shenanigans) I suspect all the store-exclusive ones will be pretty readily available, at least if you get them before they are snatched up by scalpers.

Samus is that gaudy orange and yellow color, the only amiibo to not be in any sort of pose just standing there limp and from what I've seen in most pictures seems to lean to one side. Donkey Kong is the best with that detailed fur and good pose, plus the biggest. Fox is second for me with his cool look, details and another nice pose.

This is pretty par for the course, sadly, when I was at nintendo world for the restock it seemed every other marth had performance issues

 
Agreed. I was there as well, pretty much all the Marths they had had sword bend issues, mine included. Better than nothing tho ... you can bend it back, but it just stays there for the time being, a short time later it reverts back to its bent status. Shouldnt be a big deal for most people, the thing still works fine.

 
That's good to hear I guess. I'm noticing prices for Marth are going up out of my price range, bent sword or no ($100+). So I'll just keep him anyways. I appreciate the info.

 
Still waiting for my Pit and Captain Falcon pre orders from Best Buy, just pre ordered all of the wave 3 Amiibo I can from TRU, and I have all the store exclusives pre ordered except Rosalina. Still need pre orders for Ike and Dedede. I hate myself.

Ok .... off to a good start .... my Falcon from Amazon Prime just arrived. Bright and early Sunday delivery .. well packed, no issues on board or figure. Nice, nice !!
