:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

Is Limbo cross-buy? Been thinking about picking it up and $3 seems right.

Also, any recommendations?
Looking for Vita or cross-buy stuff mainly.
Limbo must be because I have it on 2 systems but only bought it once.

Unfinished Swan is enjoyable although I think $5 is a lot.

Dead Nation and PJ Monsters should both be cross buy and they're great.

I need some recs as I don't know what I want to buy besides costume quest 2 and klonoa.

any suggestions?

I mostly play rpgs.  But I do like stuff like plants vs zombies, puzzle games and tetris.

Oh and I have a vita psp and ps3 in case that might be useful.

Super Frog looks like a fun platformer in the style of Rayman. Am I mistaken?
As someone who loves platformers, Super Frog isn't a very good one. I played it on PC, but I'm pretty sure the PC and PSN versions are identical. It wasn't terrible, but it didn't really offer anything that drew me in. And the camera was really bad.

The Steam reviews might shed some more light on this: http://store.steampowered.com/app/234000/

Heh, I actually added Unfinished Swan on the cart and wasn't sure of it.
I already got Dead Nation, it's pretty fun w/ other people. (even though I haven't touched it in a long time)

Does the sale end early on Monday? I don't get paid until then so I'm really holding back.

Is Rollers of the Realm any good? Not many reviews out there from reputable sites. Gamespot trashed it with a 4/10 (of course how reputable are they?).

Also sucks that the PS4 version of Dead Nation is not included in the sale.

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't realize this was ported across various devices so between that and the comments on a bad camera and "bad Sonic controls" makes me want to skip it ... at least for now.

Too bad Shadow Warrior is only on PS4 as it looks pretty cool.

came here to ask this same thing lol, anyone know?
I really like Rollers of the Realm, bought it on release. It has some interesting concepts that merge pinball gameplay with a story and different levels, and different types of actual pinballs that have different strengths. I've only played it on the Vita but really enjoyed it so far.

It seems like the right time to spend money on cheap games to add to the backlog.

Limbo was Cross Buy until last summer, I believe, but no longer offers both for the same price.

Costume Quest 2! Squeeeeee!!!!!

And I get an extra 10% off because I have the ability to wait 5 minutes to see if there might be a flash sale before immediately cashing it in.

I oddly enough own almost all the game in the Indie Flash Sale...is that true for most of the PS+ people?
I've had ps+ since the beginning and buy a lot... and i'm still picking up like 15 games. This is a good sale.

if only someone had spent the time to go through some recommendations a few posts above yours...

anyway.

based on your requests, and these sales:

rpgs -- plenty to choose from the weekly sale. depends on what you already own

plants vs. zombies -- pj monsters is a cutesy tower defense game too. savage moon is not cutesy, but also good.

tetris -- get lumines.

puzzle games -- check out vid of The Last Guy... sort of action puzzle.

i've read nothing but love for the game from people that own it. picking it up.

Shadow Warrior is absolutely fantastic if you like old-school FPS games, with great action and lots of secret areas. It's an absolute STEAL at $6.00, I bought it digitally on this flash sale, despite already having it on disc, just for the convenience. The graphics to me look fantastic, very colorful and full of cool details. Well worth it IMO.

Anyone have the links directly to the 2K, Square and Atlas sale pages handy?
Just go to Games > Weekly Deals and you can step through all of them. So far looking like Shadow Warriors, Strike Suit 0, Costume Quest 2 & Rollers ot Realm for me. Might add some Zen 2 tables, but debating since there's no sale stack on those. Damn I'm cheap.

Anything good for vita when it comes to DLC.

Don't have a vita, but plan on buying one in a couple of months.

Might aswell use this for some dlc of games i''ll buy. Preferably some VN/RPG games.

Games are cheaper than psn for the most part anyway.

Do we have an official 'these games are/aren't crossbuy' list for this sale anywhere?
It's in the OP.

Cross Buy
:ps4: :vita: Aqua Kitty: Milk Mine Defender DX - $3.06 - 65% Off

It seems I'm only getting CQ2 and Bioshock 2-Burial at Sea 2. Plus there's the bonus secret sale of finding the several games that I own that I never downloaded or played. When did I buy Brothers?

I almost passed on Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain thinking it was like the Soul Reaver games. It's not. It's a 2D Diablo-like game. Consoles seldom get games like that, so $1.99 or less with 10% off, is a no-brainer if you like that kind of game.

Opinions of the PS4 port of Gaucamellee? Is it worth getting for someone that has already purchased it on PS3? I did but never found the time to play it. Is the PS4 version worth it for $5? Does it add enough new content?

I already own all the rpgs in the square and atlus sales.

pixel junk monsters looks really slow but I'll consider it.

savage moon everything is too hard to see visually so I think I'll pass

What is Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition?
Guacamelee! STCE is an extended and BEST version of Guacamelee! to date (for PS4, XB1, X360, WiiU), based off of our original game Guacamelee! for PS3 and PSVita.

What is new in Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition versus the original Guacamlee!?

  • Expanded Story: An expanded version of the game that includes DLC content from the original
  • New Game Areas: Players will ride boats through the Canal of Flowersto save a besieged fishing town, and avoid lava as they climb through the fiery Volcano
  • New Boss: Face off against The Trio of Death, a three-headed skeleton that lives in the Volcano, helping the evil Carlos Calaca build his skeleton armies
  • New Abilities: Maximize destruction with the powerful new INTENSOcombat mode. Plus: Chicken Bombs and Independent Dimension Swapping
  • New Enemies: Lethal new elite-class enemies that want to chokeslam luchadores to sleep
  • Support for multiple save slots
  • Dual currency system that supports permanent item unlocks
http://guacamelee.com/?page_id=383

It adds all of the costume DLC from the original, so you can change to a large variety of other skins when you reach the first save/upgrade table.

Can the sega genesis collection for the psp still be transferred to the vita using the ps3?
Don't want to buy it and not be able to use it.

I approach PixelJunk Monsters like I did with Fallout 3: It's fun up to the point where I can't figure out how to get through a part, get frustrated, and feel like never playing it again.

Then I remember how much fun I had playing Monsters, try playing it again, and continue to have fun.

Everytime PixelJunk releases a game, I buy it immediately. Like Harmonix, I feel like they don't make bad games (favorite is Shooter 1).

Well, shit.  Apparently Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain can't be copied to Vita, even if you first download it to a PS3.  It's not showing up on the Content Manager list next to the other PS1 games I downloaded, anyway.  At least it was only $1.80, I guess, since I'm not sure I'll get around to playing it on PS3 now.

Ended up not picking Limbo since the discount is for the PS3 ver. only

Got Resogun, FEZ and Tokyo Jungle instead.

I wish I could've used that 10% off on that Grim Fandango pre-order, but oh well.

Frisky --- has Eye of Judgement PSP (and relate dlc) ever been on sale? I can't remember... google failed me, you are my only hope.

edit -- i found one sale for 14.99, which seems to be it's current price now.  man.  i guess i can wait longer, 10% off is still 13.50.  love that game.

What part of Fallout 3 could you possibly not know how to proceed?

I have to say I'm shocked and stoked at the same time about this sale. I was finally able to get Castle Crashers for under $5 which is great. That said, I refuse to use the code on anything that's $2 or $3. I think that's what Sony is hoping most people will do so the company won't lose much money from using the 10% off offer.

What part of Fallout 3 could you possibly not know how to proceed?
It was when I wasn't use to the controls. I was carrying all of this stuff and couldn't understand why I was moving so slow (I thought I was poisoned). Then I learned how to discard of items and get going.

Then there was another part where I couldn't defeat these massive creatures to get to a new area, but I eventually figured out how to equip the right guns and use them properly.

I went with:

Guacamelee: Turbo Championship Edition (PS4) (I own the PS3 vanilla version but gave up about halfway through and never finished it)

Rollers of the Realm (PS4)

Citizens of Earth (PS4)

Snark Busters: High Society (PS3)

Tales from Space: About a Blob (PS3)

echochrome (PS3)

Persona 3: FES (PS3) (never played the Persona games)

Persona 4 (PS3)

Suikoden II (PS3) (love the first one never played the 2nd)

Vib-Ribbon (PS3)

All right time to check out with my final haul:

Crystal Defenders

Resogun

Legend of Mana

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain

Gex

American Mensa Academy

Total after the 10% discount came to $16.15 OR $2.69 per game (OR 19 cents for Blood Omen)

Sweet!

Costume Quest 2 for $3 (well, $2.70 really) made my day. Also picked up Shadow Warrior because holy hell that price, and the Arrow DLC for Lego Batman 2.

So, should I use my coupon on just suikoden II? I've never played it, but is it a must own game?

I was planning to wait until it went on sale, whenever that might have been, but I'm really tempted to just buy it now.

I'd save just a dollar so i'm hesitant to get it.

I don't know why, but Resogun and OlliOlli are $0 for me. Just bought them for free.

Edit: Nevermind, guess it's because Resogun was a PS+ game.
