Impressive. I'm working on my first playthrough nice and slowly. I played it a lot back in the day (not as much as RE2, but a decent amount) but I've definitely forgot a lot of the specifics. It is really awesome playing through it again. Especially since I never played the GC remake. Can't recommend it enough to people in the same situation.
 
just started playing Assassins Creed 4 after buying it over the winter holiday. My first Ass Creed game. This game is amazing. I'm not sure if any other entry could compare to sailing the high seas, plundering ships, and capturing forts. I have no idea whats going on with the storyline though. But yeah. Great game and I may actually pick up Unity at some point.

You may be disappointed in Unity, after playing Black Flag. Don't get me wrong, Unity has its good parts, (co-op missions for instance), but overall the game just feels sluggish and a step back from what Black Flag was.

One such example of a step back was the exclusion of the "whistle lure", (where you whistle to get the attention of an enemy to your hiding spot, so you can silently kill them), in favor of a limited supply of consumables, (the cherry bombs), that attract the attention of all enemies, or fails to work at all, based on where you throw it.

Add in that trying to climb or scale, or drop in unnoticed, is constantly interrupted by the game slowing down, or your character getting stuck in/on the wall, causing you to be detected; makes the game very frustrating at points, especially if you're trying to attain 100% sync.

Don't even get me started on the multiple currencies, the skill/gear upgrade system, the initiates/app locked chests, and the multitude of items that fail to unlock after collecting the items/doing the missions; to unlock them.

The game, when it does work, is enjoyable as hell, but there are so many areas that it is just flat out broken.
 
Yeah, Unity is a broken mess.  If you have a PS3/360 to play on though Rogue takes the engine from 4 and tweaks the formula where you're playing as a Templar.  Definitely the better of the two current games.

 
I'd love to see Rogue on X1 as well. Unity is great when it works. The city feels alive and the story isn't as confusing (so far). Watch Dogs has a great city as well. I would like to see kids though. Might be some in Unity that I haven't seen yet, but there aren't any in Watch Dogs outside of the story. Make them invincible like in Elder Scrolls if you have to.

They added a few parts and changed some puzzles in the GC remake that weren't in the older versions. Should feel like a 1.5. Not sure if I'd recommend it to people that played GC remake unless they are really itching to play it again. Definitely recommend it to those that only played the older versions or haven't played it at all. The new controls are amazing and only cause issues in a few parts of the game (looking at you Bird Hallway).

I had only played RE4,5, and 6 for more than 10 minutes. I hated the others because of the controls. I'm really happy that Capcom brought this to X1 with new controls and hopefully will bring more. I always loved the lore of RE, but hated that I couldn't play it.

I now understand why some people hate the newer games, but even in the first game you can see that the series would eventually evolve into a more action type game. Unless you just investigated random Umbrella sites all over the world and nothing ever escalated. What I'd like to see instead is an entirely new series that goes back to Resident Evil's roots. Maximilian Dood mentioned on a recent stream that he'd like to see a more spiritual horror Resident Evil game. I like the idea, but not as a Resident Evil game. Make a new series that doesn't feature a company developing bio-weapons for military use. That way the games don't have to evolve into big action games.

 
Rogue would be great on :xb1: but if drops to under $20 before a :xb1: version is announced then I'll get it on :360:

BTW, I really liked Unity, beat it on :ps4: . I bought it on launch and the second or third day after they released a patch that fixed the framerate for me. Had no problems after that or any glitches. Played for about 20 hours, beat the game, and grabbed half of the collectibles. I have to rebuy it eventually to get the other half and coop trophies to get the plat.

yup, no issues for me either on X1. Unity's probably my 2nd favorite AC game with Black Flag being 3rd. AC4 was amazing but in the end, it was more a pirate game than it was a stealth assassin game. The environment and interiors in Unity are amazing, traversal is so much easier, and combat is better and challenging.

Also, they finally added a crouch button. Black Flag was frustrating when you were trying to be sneaky but the moment you're exiting a bush you stand up for all the guards to notice you. Or you're trying to hide behind a box except it's too small and there's no way to crouch.

Most people that think Unity is broken or terrible, are just echoing what someone else said.

Thanks! I just bought the season pass for it Saturday morning on :ps4: and I played the first two chapters and love it. I already know I'm going to get all 6 episodes on :xb1: . Now I don't have to buy episode 1.

edit- read the post wrong can I buy ep 1 now and still get the sp free?

The used price has already dropped at Gamestop, I used the bday coupon and got it for $20.xx

 
Just bought Game of Thrones: Episode One on Xbox One for $4.99 ....but I'm seeing the Season Pass (Episodes 2-6) show as $19.99 ....

Am I doing something wrong?

If you did it on the Xbox One Marketplace it should just say "Install" when you search for the season pass. At least that's what happened to me.

Edit: As soon as I bought Ep.1 I went and searched for the pass and it came up as free.

I purchased Episode One on Xbox.com, then went on the Xbox Marketplace Store (via the xbox one console itself) and pressed "Install" for the Season Pass Episodes Two - Six. Both Episode One and the Season Pass installed on the console.

I'm curious to see how this goes. When I logged back in to Xbox.com, it says "Already Purchased" for Episode One, but still has a price up for the Season Pass - Episodes Two - SIx (at $19.99).

Yeah on Xbox.com it still has a price but I decided to launch the game and when you click on "Episodes" on the left it says Season Pass Purchased.

 
Haven't bought a Madden game in years, but 15 is pretty damn good. Really enjoying Ultimate team, played it almost all day today. Got a Jordy Nelson Team of the Year card with my free packs, sold it for 110k, built an 85 OVR team and a 74 OVR team and still have 60k to spare. Played a game online and got picked off like 7 times though lol, definitely need to brush up on my skills

 
Is the season pass free for the Xbox One only? Anybody try the 360? Damn it will probably be fixed by the time I get to my 360 assuming it's for both

I believe so. I purchased the first episode on my Xbox 360 but I just went and check if I can get the season pass for free; it came up as $19.99. Totally getting first episode and the season pass on my Xbox One though because that price is too hard to pass up.

 
Still working, thanks for the heads up guys. How does the show relate to this game? I haven't seen a single episode but I'll get into it sometime this year since I hear it's good.

I haven't watched the show yet but the 2 chapters of episode 1 I played was enough for me to want to start watching it. Luckily I have HBO GO so I'll will be having a GoT marathon soon.

I did it just like this and it worked. Thanks. Hoepfully they screw up tales from borderlands when they go to add the second episode too =-D

 
Just bought Episode 1 of GoT via smartglass. The season pass didn't show any buy or install options via smartglass. Walked over to the X1, searched for the season pass, hit install. Confirmed still working.

i just did it from the console.. and got the GOT season pass for free:), thanks!  

I also tried it on Tales from Borderlands.. and its listed at $14.99.. hopefully they do something similar lol.

 
someone posted it on slickidy "From the CAG website"   it says. Hopefully it doesn't get too much attention they some how take it away. we will see.

Given MS's history, I won't be surprised if this is Oman wars 2(or 3 or whatever number you guys seem fit), even if the entire world knows it is their mistake that made the SP free. Probably not gonna happen but I am a wuss so...
