Stopped by my target this morning after work (15 minutes after they opened). Guy said they had a line outside and did a ticket system. Everything was gone.

But, I did get home and order 2 of her online, so that was a nice consolation prize. Still only missing Villager.

Anyone ordering online remember that you can spend $50 on filler and return that stuff to the store if you really need to.

So there was 20+ people waiting outside Best Buy to open. All of them hoping for Meta Knight or at least Sheik. Doors open, everyone runs to Amiibo's there's nothing new. Guy checks in back and says there's nothing. Most people leave and then they find a box of three Toon Link's and six Bowser's. I got one of the Toon Link's and nobody wanted Bowser at all lol. Dude said they had no idea when Meta Knight would come out.

It's crazy that there's 20+ people lining up now just in the hopes that Meta Knight randomly released. These things are reaching critical hype mass.

This is not going to be rare....I'm telling you. How many times have Target exclusive anythings been rare? I can't think of a single time although I can think of many times when people foolishly thought they would be.

 
So I just sold the one rosalina that I got, basically so that I can get toon link for free.

Don't worry though, I will be heading to church as well to get my sin absolved.

They had a limit of two so I thought it would be a waste to just get toon link.

Went to the Target in Riverside CA. Arrived around 7:30 and there were 5 people in line. This store only got 8 in. The employees were clueless once the store opened and few people who came in right at opening tried to form a second line at the other side of the cash register instead of getting to the back of the line. They were quickly told by the rest to get to the back of the original line. Glad to be one of the eight that managed to grab a Rosalina. The store only received 1 Sheik and I didn't see any Toon Links or Bowsers.

Depends on how fast it takes for them to sell out. Resellers are probably too busy hunting at stores right now.

 
Picked up a Rosalina, Bowser and Toon Link this morning. Gotta say, Nintendo did a bang-up job on all three figures. Toon Link has an especially nice paint job. Maybe the most detailed of all the Amiibo IMO.
 
Even tho they're available on target.com, I'm still glad I went because I was able to get shiek aswell. I also, don't have to worry if target shipped my items in a bubble mailer. But glad people are able to get rosalina. Kinda lame how TRU never came live online yesterday so people could get a chance with lucario. Hopefully bestbuy allows people to buy metta knight online, but I doubt they will.

Same here. I would have gotten Rosalina either way but would have missed out on Sheik. As for possibly damaged, packaging, I've already opened it so as long as the figure was fine that wouldn't be a problem for me.

who starts these meta knight rumors? I think it was pretty well known on here and on reddit that bestbuy doesn't even have a date in their system for meta knight yet

 
damn, went to order one for a friend and it went OOS when I was completing the order because I had to switch from the mobile version to full site because it wasn't letting me click complete order. Oh well, got one in store earlier

When skylanders first came out their exclusive Whirlwind sold for 100 bucks on eBay right before Xmas. My wife and I accidentally bought one each so that was a nice Xmas bonus selling the extra one. Then it was everywhere a month later. People are nuts.

That's a tough call, online orders placed before today have very different circumstances. Target could have saved stock meant for stores to fill their online pre-orders so I didn't see any being cancelled. Now that it's available in retail stores as well it's anybody's guess as to whether the stock count was accurate or not.
