yeah I agree that this should be the offiicial ce. I don't get how the kollector's can be $150 with no steelpak and what seems like a lesser statue.

Maybe Im missing something here. That nicer statue, and the Steel, it says "Import" edition. Which leads me to think its just the UK version? So we would not be able to even access new items, or online fights with our local friends?

It's definitely confusing. There is nothing in the listing or the press releases that indicates if this is just a US version of the "European Version" i.e. the US version of the game and US DLC but with everything the actual European version comes with or if it's a true European version that Amazon is just importing with Warner Interactive's permission and selling in the US. I can't imagine it's the latter given how DLC usually works, but this whole release is just weird given the multiple CEs and exclusives, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

In the meantime I recommend buying two of every version at every retailer until the dust settles.

 
I'm really disappointed that there is no fight stick for the next gen. So only the ps3 and 360 users get to play without having to use a controller? Makes no sense. I like the fan inspired Scorpion statue though that's out of my price range. I'll pass.

Japan is also releasing a Dead or Alive Stick for PS3 with the ability to toggle between PS3 and PS4. No idea if they are bringing it West. In terms of fight sticks, I can use any of them on my Xbox One, Xbox 360, or PS3 with the CronusMax adapter (doesn't matter which system they were made for). With the PS4 not so much. The stupid authentication crap and always having to send a signal to the dualshock 4 prevents the use of adapters unless you use a PC in conjunction with the adapter.

MadCatz is also releasing a SF one in March with the toggle ability.

I hate pre-order bonus and dlc. I will rent this game and play the hell out of it and waits for complete version. getting tired buy the same game twice!
 
why is there an amazon "exclusive import edition" and this coarse edition, the statues look completely different I don't get why there are so many different versions of this game packaging

It's Amazon exclusive and sold out on both platforms. I believe the 70K is speculation based on the sample metal card, but that's probably worldwide and may not even be an accurate number. I have no idea how many Amazon is importing.

The collector's edition is not exclusive and comes with the Coarse figurine. The import edition is exclusive to Amazon and appears to be the European collector's edition with a totally different statue of Scorpion and a steel book. I agree there are too many variants of this.

 
Got a reply from Pepita today regarding my type 0 ce that they will cancel my order. Only took around 3 days total since I emailed them.

I got the same email also so idk what going on and doubt amazon does to cause if you look at product details for the item it shows this:

  • Release Date: January 24, 2015

Edit: i just checked and it looks like it only the PS4 giving that delivery estimate cause my Xbox One version still says no delivery date yet. since i pre-ordered both until i finally decided which platform i wanted.

Mad Catz has been making PS3/4 TE fight sticks for $200, but they all sell out. The Persona 4 Arena Ultimax one is being scalped on EBay for $500.

Thanks guys. I was hoping for an official MK fight stick like the MK9 one. I know the layout is only ideal for MK but just wanted one to be offered like that.

Yeah bummed I missed it. That Scorpion statue looks awesome. It looks like the "Import Edition" is also going to be available in Europe somewhere too however (based on the photo with the UK rating icons and info in here). I haven't been able to find a UK retailer that has it listed for sale yet though, has anyone else found one?

 
i just want the steelbook.. for the statue, might as well go big and buy a pop culture one. though i have to say.. the coarse edition looks better imo...

and im not saying that because i missed out on the amazon exclusive!

i bought MK9 kollectors and tournament edition from Amazon, and  got 2 Reptile DLCs as preorder bonus.

i sold them on ebay for $220 total. i was completely surprised. then the skins are released as free dlc 5 months later lol...

Josh said he is expecting for them to arrive sometime in March. They are being printed in China and due to the overseas logistics, it's not going to be anytime soon.
 
I hope Best Buy gets that $150 MK version. $120 with GCU is an easy buy.
