All this Easter deal talk, and not one candy drop? Come on, guys. I thought we were a community.

Also I was looking forward to spodering some Cadbury caramel eggs.

Maybe his doesn't get stained with orphan tears like yours does?
Blade sorry to hear about the pic being edited from your post. As per the quote above, I exactly like your humor and laughed out loud at it. I alsoy like that Bruticis is a good sport in people poking fun at him from time to time.

To Dr. Rock and Neuro, I am surprised with a posting of a picture of Erin Moran and the common use of "moran" around here that nobody mentions dren. Her character used the term dren (backwards for nerd) when she had a crush on Potsie.

Also, there was a recent article talking about quantum dots that will help tvs, phone/tablet screens, monitors, medical equipment, lighting.

Nanoco is the company that has spent the last 15 years developing this technology and has been able to remove the heavy metal (cadmium, not music, and not creme eggs) and been able to develop a process in which manufacturers can orders a sufficient quantity to make the intended products.

Two candy drops for same game. This is Closed Phase 2 Beta access to Orcs Must Die! Unchained. You have to first have an account on their site.

Redeem code on the account page on their site.

I just realized why the lack of story in Bloodborne is so bothersome.

I feel like Bloodborne lacks any sense of progression. In DS1 + 2, you have a reason why you have to go fight all these massive bosses, and you can how and when the story is moving forward. Plus, the way the world laid out, how each area generally plays into the next area, created a (arguably false) sense of progression. Bloodborne lacks a lot of this, and it really disappoints me and throws me off.

Again, this is probably something a large chunk of people aren't going to care about but it bugs me a great deal.

Be warned, the SPOILERS are in fact END GAME/STORY SPOILERS. Only read if you have beaten each game, or just don't care.

BONUS - Take a shot every time you see the word "cycle".

Demon's Souls: You're a person pulled into a land where you are stuck in an endless cycle of death. Your only way out is to stop The Old One to free yourself from the cycle.

The king sought to control The Old One and in turn was twisted and corrupted by it. The Old One's awakening lead to the cycle beginning. Getting The Old One to rest, or killing it, ends the cycle.

Dark Souls: You're cursed as an undead to live and die over and over. Your only way out is to fulfill a prophecy and end the cycle.

You were bound by fate to make a choice. Use yourself as kindle to relight the flame and continue the age of light, or leave and revel in the age of dark?

Dark Souls 2: You're cursed as an undead to live and die over and over. Your only way out is to travel to a land in search of a cure, and end the cycle.

There is no cure. The cycle will always continue no matter your choice. You will rekindle the flame(DS2 only) or you have the choice to rekindle or leave(DS2 SOTFS Only). Regardless the cycle will continue at some point in time. It is inevitable.

Bloodborne: You're a hunter pulled into a land where you are stuck in an endless cycle of death. The only way to get out is to stop the plague at its source and stop the cycle.

Turns out the plague stems from beings on a whole different plane of existence.

Do you A)
Accept a way out of the nightmare and leave other hunters as prey to the cycle?

Do you B)
Reject the way out and end up becoming the new bearer of the Hunter's Dream to guide new Hunters in this endless cycle?

Do you C)
Become one of the greater beings and ascend humanity to its next step as well as potentially ending the cycle?

See a pattern here? Bloodborne has just as much story as the rest. You are given a goal, you work towards said goal. The actual story just lies in the lore that is sprinkled around in notes and by what NPCs tell you. As I quickly progressed through the game it is revealed that the plague is actually a much bigger problem than anticipated. You think at first you are there at the start of the plague but it's shown you came way, way, WAAAAAAAAAAAAY after the fact. Once I started connecting the dots I started to enjoy the lore more than any of the Souls games.

Off topic: So I'm on the final areas of Bloodborne. I like the game, I just don't find it very memorable. I can't really ever see myself going back to it after I finish, which really sucks. I think a big problem is that the story is just not there. Like, DS1 + 2 had a thin plot, but I have NO clue what the fuck is going on here. I'm sure there's a rabbit hole I could fall down if I chose too, in terms of the world and whatnot, but I find myself presented with SO LITTLE that I have no desire to seek out anything. I dunno, it's frustrating because I THINK it could be super interesting, but I don't understand a thing.

On topic: I'd probably buy DS1 if it was on sale.
sigh.. didn't I tell you to play those games in these order?

Bloodborne, DS2, DS1, Demon Soul?

you will appreciate the series more

it is not really that hard to narrow down the suspect. there are currently 19 members reading this post at the time of my post. whoever has not posted yet is probably the one, reported it. seeing as guest cannot report, since they are not signed in
So, was it you?
If not, we've narrowed it down to eighteen.

The "Zombie Jesus" joke always annoyed me, not for religious reasons, but as an RPG player.  Resurrection doesn't reanimate you as a zombie or else every RPG world would be filled with shambling zombie players instead of healthy, living people choosing between the Fire Sword +4 or Iceblade +3/+7 vs Demons.

Jesus saves... everyone else takes 3d4 fire damage!

i love salty food and candy

just waiting to see if i have diabetes or a heart attack first

sprinkling pretzels on my hand and licking it off seems a lot less efficient than just eating the pretzels whole
Maybe not efficient, but a perfect prelude to a shot of tequila!

Wasn't "dren" the word for poop on a Sci-fi show? Farscape I think.

Also, I don't think Namco makes Cadbury creme eggs. Check your facts please.

I have great news for everyone - The Mystery of the Druids is now on Steam.

Any bets on how long it takes for this to appear in a bundle? Better yet, how many bundle appearances it will have by the end of the year?

Hot news: The Witcher 3 getting paid DLC expansions and season pass.

CD PROJEKT RED, creators of the open world RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, announce two massive expansions -- Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine

The Witcher is a story-driven, next-generation open world role-playing game, set in a visually stunning fantasy universe full of meaningful choices and impactful consequences. In The Witcher, you play as Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster slayer tasked with finding a child from an ancient prophecy.

“With the development of Wild Hunt coming to an end, the team has embarked upon the creation of two new really big adventures set in The Witcher universe,” says Marcin Iwiński, CD PROJEKT RED co-founder. “We remember the time when add-on disks truly expanded games by delivering meaningful content. As gamers, we’d like to bring that back. We’ve said in the past that if we ever decide to release paid content, it will be vast in size and represent real value for the money. Both our expansions offer more hours of gameplay than quite a few standalone games out there.”

Hearts of Stone will take Geralt on an all-new, 10-hour-plus adventure into the wilds of No Man’s Land and the nooks and alleys of Oxenfurt, where he’ll try to complete a contract from the mysterious Man of Glass. Caught in a thick tangle of deceit, Geralt will need all his cunning and strength to solve the mystery and emerge unscathed.

Blood and Wine, a 20-hour-plus tale that will introduce the all-new in-game region of Toussaint, will take Geralt to a land untainted by war, where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret.

“While we’re offering the Expansion Pass now, we want to make one thing clear: don’t buy it if you have any doubts. Wait for reviews or play The Witcher and see if you like it first. As always, it’s your call,” Iwiński concludes.

The upcoming expansions will offer gamers new adventures, gear and foes and will feature characters both new and dearly missed -- all crafted with maximum attention to detail and quality by the joint forces of CD PROJEKT RED’s Warsaw and Cracow studios.

Hearts of Stone will premiere in October, while Blood and Wine is slated for release in the first quarter of 2016.

Both expansions will be available on all three platforms: Xbox One, PC, PlayStation® 4.
