Humble Bundle Thread

You know, I was going to get some of the other games but now that I read this Broforce shit fuck them. I will wait for all this crap to get bundled and Tremor the couple I might have missed that were or wait for them to get bundled again.

Please don't click unless you want to see a literal interpretation of Spoder's last sentence.

You should be ashamed.

I don't get why their little pixel game is so important if Telltale and sell their two biggest and latest games right now cheap in these kinds of bundles. *shakes head*

Broforce is a really fun game. Too bad it got pulled.

In other news:

Dungeon Hearts

T37EA-ZFYQT-YV6Y7

Serious Sam: Random Encounter
A8ZCX-2LLE2-9FWK4

Argh! Had Broforce in my cart, went out to run errands, and it was pulled before I even got home.  fuck .  $5 was about right for BF and Titan Souls.  Oh well, back to Magic Duels.

Thank goodness I didn't see this earlier. I would have been pissed if I had Broforce in my cart only to have it swiped away.

Think there's any chance they'll add it back? Definitely would be in for it and Titan Souls with a few throw aways.

Damn that sucks for those who don't have Broforce. That was the last game I bought from a shady Euro peddler before the gift trading law was laid down. Mmm... the glory days of cheapness.

On another note, picking up Titan Souls + RONIN + Not A Hero + Gods Will Be Watching + Luftrausers for $6.09 is pretty tempting.  :whistle2:k

Titan Souls alone was like $7-8 during the Steam Summer sale.

I might get Titan Souls, Gods Will Be Watching, Ronin, Heavy Bullets, and Not a Hero.

Hatoful Boyfriend, Serious Sam 2, Cosmic DJ, and Dungeon Hearts are the others I don't have.

Don't even bother getting Luftrausers in this sale, it's been bundled in a Humble already so it's bound to show up again. The game also likes to crash on exit for a lot of folks and the devs don't seem to be interested in fixing up the bugs.

What if it lowers the price from $6.62 to $6.09 by adding it? At that point it's like they're paying me $0.53 to take it.

It's probably pretty unlikely, but I'm still hoping Broforce gets added back to the bundle. I've seen a number of people say they aren't going to buy the bundle without Broforce.

Ugh, still fuming. I was just going to buy the damned thing and never touch it like every other game but I'm so mad now I might just go sailing the high seas and make myself play the damned thing to spite Devolver even though they will never know or care. :p

It looks to me like Humble didn't really think through the whole "build a bundle" thing. When most of the games are 70-80% off already, or even bundled, "building your own bundle" saves you a buck or two, which is probably the way they intended for it to be used. But then they thrown in games that had, at most, a 25-50% discount and you get people buying shit they don't want to get a discount on the thing they do want. It'll be interesting to know if the money gained from people buying all those $1 games for the discount outweighs the money they lost for selling GoT/TftBL for as little as $4.

But charity.

Carlmundo: Don't suppose you'd know anyone who had a spare tales of b?
Motoki: Not off hand. The sale was up for 2 days though.
Carlmundo: and I was drunk for 2 days

You're looking at it wrong.

They got a bunch of CAGs--a group that often finds $1 bundles too expensive--to spend $16-$20 of real money on Telltale Games instead of holding out for some future bundle.

I'd say they thought through the build-a-bundle thing quite nicely.

I'm guessing Bethesda for tomorrow's Humble. It is time.

Either that or HIB #15 (five months since HIB #14).

It wouldn't be very smart to have a Humble right in the middle of their big sale. Then again they put a bunch of stuff that's running on the Weekly on sale.

...

Speaking of, has anyone tried to use the Humongous Entertainment coupon from the Android bundle on the stuff that's currently discounted? Does it stack?

Here's a helpful MysterD like post

I don't know, I already own them all.

That's like saying the gamersgate glitch got a bunch of CAGs to pay $30 (or whatever it was) for Bethesda games instead of holding out for all the subsequent sales/bundles.

Also CAGs don't think $1 bundles are too expensive. They think $1 bundles full of steaming dogpoop are too expensive. $4 for a year old Telltale game is not expensive.

@ Carl

I've got the Telltale version of Tales From Borderlands, does he want that? It's Carl so he likes non-Steam games.

Here's what he said to that when I offered:

Carlmundo: were they steam or telltale keys?
Motoki: both.
Motoki: CAGs and Reddit and whatnot wouldn't have lost their shit over that sale if it was just Telltale keys.
Carlmundo: Yeah but those are not real people
Carlmundo: ;)
Motoki: Well anyway no one really wants Telltale keys. I mean Origin and Uplay fine maybe some people are okay with that. But Telltale is a big fat no.
Motoki: If you really want to play it and don't care you can have mine. I won't ever use them.
Carlmundo: Appreciate it, but even though I'm an origin fan I do have my limits :)
Motoki: lol see. Even you don't want it.
Carlmundo: I have Steam and Origin installed
Carlmundo: Telltale are taking the piss if they have their own client

I actually redeemed the Telltale keys.

They don't have their own client. They just... download the stuff through an installer. And their older games had all chapters on separate installers.

It sucked. Still does. It would cost them nothing to give us Steam keys but they refuse, and since they're Telltale they can do no wrong.

Well if anyone doesn't want them, I'll take telltale keys for cheap. Most of my telltale games are on their site due to my walking dead pre-order years ago.

Perhaps a stupid question but I wanted to download the DRM-free version of Deadly Premonitions from the humble weekly but the file is 800mb~. Isn't the game supposed to be 5-8gb? I downloaded it anyway and tried to run DP.exe and sure enough it just crashes. Am I missing something? Is there an extra download I'm supposed to get?

Huh. You're right. I only get a 782 MB file.
coral told me he takes the money be gets from poopies bundles and spends it on a night of drinking and a Ploughman's lunch
I thought he spent it on the red snapper at Long Dong Silver's fish N chips.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if Broforce ended up being in tomorrow's Humble?
That possibility did occur to me.

I've seen CAGs complain about $1 bundles even when they have good unbundled games. We're cheap. We complain. It's our identity.

I was holding out for a Telltale Humble bundle, but ended up buying these games in the store for about three times what I hope I would have paid for that bundle.

Steam version is around 7GB in my Steam game-folder.

I checked GOG - the GOG version on their site's listed to be around 5.7GB. I don't have that version.

I just checked - yeah, my HB version's 700MB. HB Version won't even boot up. It crashes.

EDIT:

Looks like HB's UPDATA sub-folder is empty.

On Steam, that folder alone takes up 6.17GB or so.

EDIT 2:

I tossed Steam-version's UPDATA folder into HB version's UPDATA folder. Replaced it.

HB version boots up now.
