Looks like some stores will have ~2 villager these next couple days. They only have the manifests for today and tomorrow I think.

2? What a fucking joke, that's not even worth my time to make the attempt. Especially since the local TRU can't seem to grasp the "1 per customer" rule.

On the plus side, Destructoid is reporting that Best Buy looks like they are gonna start selling several retailer-exclusive amiibo.

I've had countless arguments with the blindest of fanboys in this thread who say, again and again and again, that the artificial shortages aren't NCL/NoA's fault, but the fault of the retailers for not ordering enough. Time and time again I've pointed to every scrap of evidence I could point to showing that NoA wasn't filling the retailer's orders for whatever reason, and every fucking time they cover their ears and scream LALALALALALA!!!

This time will be no different but it's refreshing to see somebody else point out the obvious for once.

All that said my source says they fulfilled a bit more than 5000, but yeah, it was nowhere near what TRU ordered.

My local TRU  gets a shipment October 8th or 9th.  They couldn't tell me quantities though.  I'm not wasting my time if they are only getting 1 or 2 of everything though, the employees will snatch that shit up long before it ever has a chance to reach the floor.

8-bit Mario isn't part of the SSB line lol.

What's the deal with the Mii amiibo? Are they Gamestop exclusive or what? Trying to decide if I want to just buy the imports off Amazon while they are $14 apiece or wait it out a month.

Up 'til now I've been all about NA NiB but I can make an exception for Mii's I guess lol. They don't really count ;)

LOL, I know 8-bit Mario is not part of SSB but it was in the same package I received and didnt want it to feel left out :lol:

I was just referring to the Mii Fighters, I just went ahead and ordered from Amazon since I was ordering some other stuff and didnt feel like waiting or stressing over availability for maybe $2 savings per piece.

Now just to wait for Falco and the DLC Characters, Exclusive Japanese Red ROB looks nice but wont pay that much for red arms.

For those who were paying attention back then, how many months did it take for the Mario, Luigi, and Peach edition wiimotes to go on sale? And what was the best price before they disappeared? Like $25 or closer to $35?

I'm considering holding off on Yoshi, Bowser, and Toad edition wiimotes. However, because they are supposed "Gamestop Exclusives," I'm not sure how safe it is to wait.

I'm also looking at the Samus and ZSS fight pads from PDP and the gold Link battle pad from Hori, but I can't manage all that until they hit closer to $15 a piece. Seen any good deals on them?

To answer your question though... NEVER! I've NEVER once seen a sale on the Mario, Luigi, Peach wiimotes since they've launched. The cheapest I've ever seen them was BB had the Luigi marked as "clearance" at one of my stores and it was $34.95. Target also had them at $34.95 a few times I've been in there (unless that's their regular price there?). No black friday sales (that I've seen) ever had them cheaper, and the best deal I had ever found for NIB on eBay was still about $25-$30 a piece or so after shipping.

If you DO find a better deal, be sure to share!

Also, LOL to all the people in here going nuts-o because one random person posted a sarcastic post about Villager restocks. They'll get here eventually people... (at least that's what I keep telling myself cuz he's the only one I've missed since Day1).

 
Stopped by my Toys R Us today in the off chance they had restocks. They had empty pegs labeled with some of the rumored stocks, like Villager, Lucario, and the Splatoon 3 pack that weren't there last I checked. Is it more likely that they got them in and they already sold, or that they're expecting them?

TRU did 20% off all Nintendo accessories once during the holidays (I think it was 2013). That's when I picked mine up.

K-Mart had them on sale a few times for cheap, before they clearanced the video game section out entirely. Walmart also had them for real cheap twice.
Like you said though, it hardly ever happens...I really want a Mario & Yoshi Wii-mote so I'm still hoping to catch a sale.

Stink! Apparently Walmart JUST (as in a few hours ago) had Luigi remote for $24.24! Seems like I can't get it online now though and nothing available in-store near me.

I know the store down the street had some, gonna swing by there this afternoon and see if they'll pricematch their website though!

The problem is that GameStop rarely if ever has these Wii Remotes on sale, and the two new ones I want are their exclusives. (I already imported the Yoshi one from Europe when I didn't think these were coming over here.)

 
According to the reddit amiibo thread, stores are getting an average of 16 each of these characters:

Fox

Villager

Captain Falcon

Little MAc

Lucario

Greninja

Stocks are supposedly not finalized yet and are still in transit in most areas. Villagers may be delayed or appear last. Not sure where the rumor only 4,500 restock is coming from or why anybody doesn't do some research before taking one person comment as fact.

But the source is Rcerboss. He has connections at all the stores and knows when a riot is going to break out or when Best Buy is only getting five of a certain Amiibo. We have to believe him because only he is smart enough to know that Nintendo is manipulating us into buying Amiibos and only he can protect us from our own stupidity.

And FWIW you should read deeper into that thread, it's not nearly as simple as "Every store is getting 16 of each figurine". Those calcs didn't include the stores that were getting 0 (of which there are plenty.... apparently. I didn't dig that deep lol). It's also important to note that the Wave 1's are getting much, much smaller restocks than the others.

What I'm trying to say is that 16 is just an arbitrary number that doesn't mean much of anything. It was just spit out to placate the masses.

Since actual TRU employees with access to the computer will be able to prove once and for all you're wrong, I know you're not going to answer just like you never told us which Best Buy location allegedly only received five of those Amiibos a while back. I guarantee you have no such source and this is just another one of your vague lies that you hope will further support your argument that Nintendo is the devil.

And if you are gonna try to be an ass at least quit lying. I gave you several BB's that recieved less than half a dozen Dark Pits several times. As did a couple other users here. I copy/pasted those stores again and again until I was blue in the face. That wasn't what you wanted, you wanted to know which store I visit and where my friend worked. Probably just cause I mentioned she was a woman. You weren't interested in anything except harassing people and being a nuisance.

Actually, you didn't. You posted bad info from Reddit just like you are doing here. All you do over and over again is take bad rumors, make them even more vague and use them to support your stupid anti-Nintendo rants. Did you actually call those stores I posted like you said you would? Did you record the phone calls as you were instructed? No? Then STFU and quit accusing me of creating dozens of alt accounts just to spread misinformation about a stupid company.

Went to pickup my 3 pack and the guy asked if I wanted to pre-order the "robot" amiibo that was coming out. I asked him what he was talking about and he tried to look it up and couldn't find it. He said someone had pre-ordered it in the morning but it wasn't in the system anymore. Anyone know what he was talking about?

People on Reddit had the courtesy to correct their errors about stock levels after they actually visited the stores in question. I don't believe when all was said and done that any store actually only received five of the Amiibos. Of course, you know that's the case and you also know that if you admit which store number you claimed only received five, someone here or elsewhere will be able to prove you were lying which is why you refuse to provide those simple details.

I don't hold Nintendo precious at all. They make some great games and they also do a lot of things that piss me off. They're just like every large corporation. It's my choice to buy their products or not and since they aren't a government entity or some other structure that has to ultimately report to me as a tax payer or voter, they are free to do what they want within the confines of the law. The fact that you waste time and words constantly attacking a corporation that cares nothing about you or anyone but its shareholders is just plain sad.

Feel free to notify the mods. I'm pretty sure that once they see all the hate and lies you keep spewing, they will delete all of your posts.

The fact that anyone has insider information doesn't piss me off, in fact I think it's great. What pisses me off is when people like yourself claim they have a source and don't but use lies and manipulation to support their arguments for or against something.

I told you I would be happy to call the store you claim is local to you and confirm once and for all if you were lying or not. You declined to provide the store number and made up some BS about being afraid I would contact some woman that you allege works there. Calling other stores that you have no personal knowledge about does nothing to prove you are or are not a liar. Knowing the store number would easily prove you were lying because one or more CAGs likely frequent that same location and would know what stock was like that morning.

I think it's time for you to come clean and admit that you have been lying repeatedly and that the information you have been posting here is both deceptive and dishonest. There is no place for fraudulent information on a site like this that depends on good information so that all of us can find a good deal.

About this hole stocking ordeal when I went to TRU on Saturday they only had one rack I guess is the word labeled and had two Capt Falcons left on it. Their could have been more before idk

GS stopped doing automated calls & texts. It's up to individual stores now to call customers about preorders.
 
I was able to grab a Little Mac after work at TRU. Called around 2:30 and they had no problems holding one till I could get there a little after 5. There was one on the shelf when I walked in but some reseller had sent his girlfriend to check out the store and she grabbed it right away.
 
The individual packaged amiibo arrived from Amazon Italy, today! I'm very impressed with the speed, it only took 3 days to arrive at my home. ROB was the only one with some damage, other than that they're in great shape! Is it confirmed that the NA Miis are going to be packaged as 3-pack, right?
