I've got a dilemma - my backlog is absolutely stupid. Like 32 games with over 2/3 of them still in their original shrink wrap.

Money is going to be tight for me in the coming months due to a recent breakup. I'll be assuming the entirety of the lease and bills at my little bachelor shack. My income will take care of it with a modest amount left for food and an occasional small indulgence here and there.

Would you guys go full boat on this 50% or wait for a chance at another summer flip-a-geddon? I know you guys aren't my financial consultants - just wanted to hear some educated input.
G.S do sell Whole Food GC's

This one employee I've never seen before was like "since you come here a lot, would you like to get a warranty on the game?" when I bought a preowned game. How does he know if I come there a lot or not dafuq?

Looks like Im off to trade some games on Wed or Thursday. Didnt get an email and I checked the app, here's hoping I get the 50% bonus have about $100 worth of stuff to dump
The 50% bump doesn't happen until Thursday night IF your store is doing a midnight (and you would at that time have to pickup the preorder,) or Friday.

It works the other way, dude...stuff goes OOP, prices soar and Gamestop takes advantage lol
I know it usually goes the other way around but with theses I don't know, it might take a while for that to happen just think of how many stores have entire collection full of theses figures... But I'm okay with my money, there all the figures I didn't care about anyway (not starwars)

Really hoping we can get a stealth bump before the 50% bonus ends. Just as one example, I was thinking of trading in a copy of Mario Party 8, but at the current price with the bonus it'd only be $24 credit. That's pretty pathetic considering I traded a copy a couple months ago for $27.50 credit, and that was with no bonuses.

The trade in value is not under our control, I dont see how $3.5 difference is pathetic. you can trade in toward doom 3 for 20% bonus trade in credit.

I think theres a lack of communications within the chain of command at Gamestop. When there is a double bump it's probably purely coincidental. However I wouldn't mind.

I think you misread. In his example the base TIV for the game used to be $27.50 and now the total TIV with the 50% bump is still less than that old TIV.

I'm in NYC and for the first time ever saw visa gift cards on the card rack. I asked the manager if I'm able to use trade in credit to buy them and he said yes. But I'm sure that's YMMV.

All stores will be carrying visa cards now but officially you seen suppose to use store credit to buy them

That moment when ID and Bethesda get really excited about the game looking like a success based on preorders and then the following day when they realize nobody actually picks the game up.

To get 20% right now, yes. If you want the 50%, you have to actually purchase the game either at your store's midnight event, or starting tomorrow.
Really? I thought the 50% basically replaced the 20% in Doom's case since that promo started today and the game hasn't released yet.

The promo doesn't start until 9 p.m. local time, which is when pre-rings start for Doom at stores doing midnights. Hypothetically you COULD show up at 9 (if your store is doing a midnight) and do a preorder saying you can't be there to pick up your copy at midnight but you will 1. likely get into an argument with the manager and 2. arouse suspicisions with the manager and other jr. detectives so I would just wait until Friday so you can buy and return later.

Or see if some CAG in the Central Time Zone tries after 8 pm, which is 9 pm eastern.

Which ones are you guys looking at? I searched a few titles (mainly first party Nintendo) and those haven't dropped in value. At least, not yet

Was actually going to pick up my pre-order from GS but since they dropped the TIV on all my games i had ready even more I'm just going to cancel now and use the credit pick up 2 copies of GTA V for $32.39 and trade in at BB for $36.80 and preorder at BB and get 20% and $10 reward.

Not sure if it was just my store or possibly more spread, but none of the 50$ Amazon/Kindle giftcards were working.

Had to buy a couple of the 25$ ones which strangely were working fine. (Even though the employee thought he pulled them all)
