I could have sworn that Capcom has promised that there would only ever be one edition of SFV.
This is basically a game of the year edition of the first two years of the game. It's just the same game packaged with the two season passes that probably has all of the numerous updates made to the game on the disc. The original disc owners get all of the same content (minus the season passes) in free updates, and it's still one collected player pool online no matter which disc you own or what platform you own it on.

Hilarious! I’m too cheap to ever buy dlc unless it directly impacts or adds to the main story of a game.

If SFV AE adds stages and some costumes as well then that may get some of the current player-base to double dip. I dont see this convincing too many new players to join, that ship has sailed.

Columbus Day Flash sale is live!

Basically everything in your purchased library has now been discovered and is now the property of European PSN accounts.

Check the TOS they just did it

that's why I buy these games like a decade after they are released for 10 bucks

Not so sure about this Columbus Day Flash Sale. Now if there was a Louisiana Purchase sale, I think there’d be a hell of a lot of good deals.

Joining the Darkside today boys.  Trading in my X1 for the Destiny 2 PS4 Pro.  Any deals on PS+ memberships currently?  IIRC, it never gets discounts as deep as Xbox Live.

Just got back with my new system.  The employee said that it comes with a 30 day trial for PS+, but I don't see any vouchers inside the box.  All I see online is an offer for a 14 day trial on the Playstation website.  Which one is correct?

Mine came with a 30 day trial but I'm saving it for black Friday savings or years end savings.

Nevermind... code was in the game packaging.

No because Sony isn't stupid and has the game install independent of the download updates.
That’s a good thing but one thing I hate about my PS4 is that downloads are wayyyy slower on it than my X1. I get like 5 MB/s vs 50 mb/s. Think part of the difference is X1 supports 5 ghz. PS4 does not. But still think it’s also PSN that’s slower than shit.

So anyway, while you may not have to wait for updates to download at install time, you will wait longer for them to actually download.

TBH i never noticed due to the fact that any time I got an XB1 game it took like a day for it to install and download before I can play so they both feel slow to me lol.

Slim and Pro have 5ghz. Not sure why Sony didn't include it with the original...

Is Anima any good? Reviews are all over the place. The Destructoid review I just read of the PC version really liked it (8/10), but there’s other reviews that trash it. It does look good. Seems to get some comparisons to Nier which I love.

Seems about the same to me. The absolute bullshit of Xbox One's download management system is the thing that makes me dread wanting to buy new games on it, as it constantly lies to me about how much space it wants and I'm sure that's not going to get better with Xbox One X.

Funny, I have the opposite experience. I hate PS4’s download and storage management. I can’t tell you the number of times I couldn’t download something because I supposedly didn’t have enough space when I had well more than what the game download size is. It’s a constant guessing game with my PS4 to know how much space I really need. On X1, I always know exactly how much I need and when I don’t have enough space, it tells me what I need. The PS4 just gives you the bullshit message that you don’t have enough space. Never tells you how much space you actually need vs what you have free.

Exclusives always are and probably always will be why I like my PS4. The user experience leaves much to be desired IMO.

The way both systems are now you

ll never know when you'll run out of space.

You're one patch/update away from a 3GB to 20GB file that'll ruin your HDD space.

I feel like if i play one system for 3 days i'll have to update something i want to play on the other and it'll be a big chunk of data that'll take some time to download.

yeah it's way more difficult to find ps plus and credit deals than xbox
Welcome to the darkside!

Not sure I agree with it being difficult to find ps+ and psn credit.. with pcgamesupply we regularly get 30% off psn credit and PS+ subs can be had for around $35 - $40 if you watch. Just monitor the code trading thread.

Earlier today, I had an update for a game that needed more room. It told me to free up about ~600 MB, so I deleted a small game. Then it asked me to free up another ~600 MB, so I obliged once more and it asked me for another ~600 MB. I just deleted a big game and it finally had the room, which needed about 27 GB for that update, not the ~600 MB it claimed. I've even had previous updates where it asked me to free up 0 KB, so they're never going to fix this after a few years of this BS. The memory situation is already bad on Xbox One, but this stuff doesn't help at all.

That’s weird. I’ve never had issues like that on my One. Maybe I’m just lucky.

can ps4 downloads be paused and resumed? i couldn't figure it out and felt really stupid. i needed the bandwidth, so i cancelled the download and had to start over later.

On the notifications screen where it shows your download progress, highlight the download and hit the Options button. There will be an option for Pause Download, and you can do the same later to resume.

Nope. Well, not to me, anyway. Didn't we (this board) go through this a few months ago?

My PS4 keeps wanting me to free up space because it apparently needs over 100GB to download a 2GB patch.

This 100%.

At the time they were incredible experiences and for those that played them at the time they have that nostalgia factor that can make it worth revisiting to some degree.

Trying to experience any game from that era for the VERY FIRST TIME in this day and age is totally pointless. The only people that will try to convince you otherwise are those that played it in all of its revolutionary-at-the-time glory and can't understand how terrible the experience would be for someone who never played them before.

I'm not saying there can't be an exception once in a while, but you're much better off saving your first times for the younger, hotter games.
I DISagree, i played ICO for the first time as part of the PS3 HD collection and LOVED it! I guess it really depends on what you expect going in/how much experience you have playing PS2 stuff

That’s weird. I’ve never had issues like that on my One. Maybe I’m just lucky.
It's been like that for about two years now and none of the updates have bothered to address it. I end up deleting most games that keep asking for more room because of that issue.

Started Battlefront 2 beta...watched Boyega intro...started preordering...played first match...preorder made. Looks like a lot of Star Wars fun and a big improvement over the original.

Since I’ve already bought Destiny 2 digital, if I pull the trigger on say Uncharted for the Buy 2 day 1 digitals, could I use the 20% coupon I get on the digital preorder?

It's unlikely you would be able to use the 20% off coupon on a digital pre-order. Discount codes have never worked on digital pre-orders in the past.

I always thought of the October Spend $100 Get $15 Credit promotion was a way to push the year-end releases. I wonder if the Day 1 Digital promotion is now how they're going to do that. I guess the Spend $100 promotion could start next week or the week after.

Did they change the Day 1 Digital 20% Coupon offer?
I swear "The Evil Within 2" was on the list when I pre-ordered it, but I can no longer find it...

I ordered The Evil Within 2, and The Fractured but Whole
